Belichick is about to run into one of the biggest differences between college and the pros. In the pros, if you get to mid-season and there are a series of injuries to a position, you can always trade for new blood. Right now, we are down our most important O-linesman (for at least part of the season) and our second best QB (all season). Any more key injuries to either position and we get dangerously thin.
what QB got hurt?

Good news - I got it wrong. I'd read somewhere that Baker was injured, but... nevermind. We good.
Baker may be our fourth best QB right now. Not clear whether he or Tori would get the nod if Gio and Max both went down.

And regarding injuries, this is probably the most depth a UNC team has ever had. We have roughly 100 scholarship athletes on the team. There are only 53 in the NFL for almost twice as many games.

Injuries are always part of the game. But assuming we do not get a statistically abnormal number, I expect Bill will manage the roster better than most.

Fair. I worry.

Good points. Although I think it’s probably fair to say that numbers ~70-100 or so aren’t likely to be guys that we’d want to have to rely upon. We offered a whole lot of players that appear to be projects/bodies (nothing at all wrong with that, and in fact pretty smart under the new rules and landscape).
