I've been thinking about this and given the way that Belichick in NE was ruthless about cutting players who weren't performing to the level he wanted and for shipping guys out a year early rather than a year late, I wouldn't be surprised if the last 30 or so roster spots under Belichick were a revolving door where he brings in players that show some promise on film and gets a look at them in practice (and maybe a little time on the field) and then weeds out all but the 5 or so that perform at a level he likes, then replaces the other 25 or so with new transfers to start the process again.Good points. Although I think it’s probably fair to say that numbers ~70-100 or so aren’t likely to be guys that we’d want to have to rely upon. We offered a whole lot of players that appear to be projects/bodies (nothing at all wrong with that, and in fact pretty smart under the new rules and landscape).
