There’s a reason she flipped out in that interview when Bill was asked how they met. This isn’t advanced calculus.

Good luck getting them to ever admit it, though. Most of them would rather die than admit they were wrong, about Belichick or anything else. Given how these people are they'll likely just go after anyone who dares to criticize them instead of admitting they made a mistake. And they'll tighten their grip on the university even as they pull it down with them.

I used to follow Carolina football religiously, allowing it to affect my mood with every game and recruiting outcome, but realized a couple years ago that this program is sports masochism. Carolina football now holds no power over me, and my life is better as a result. There's too much important stuff in life to be emotionally invested in something that brings seemingly endless failure and disappointment.

I had much more fun taking my 9-year-old to her soccer game today than I would have had in Kenan. Almost got to see a fist fight between the coaches too but cooler heads prevailed lol

As an outside fan, I was skeptical because Kansas hired Charlie Weis and that was a disaster. Not that Charlie was ever as good a coach in the pros as Bill. And the programs were vastly different.

Did not expect Bill to faceplant this hard though.

If you are going to hire an NFL coach, it should be one that has some college experience, like Harbaugh, Saban, Spurrier, or Carroll.

Given the historic importance of basketball for UNC, and the epic failure that the football program has become, I think it's actually going to only increase the pressure for Davis to turn things around and restore the basketball program to top contender status. If not he'll be gone rather quickly, Belichick's millions or no. I don't think UNC athletics can afford to have both major men's programs become dumpster fires together.

Charlie Weis is another example of “it was Tom, not Bill.”

People actually thought Charlie Weis was a great football coach……until he no longer had TB running “his” offense.
 
It’s bad, really bad but waaay too early to declare the BB hire a failure. I trust Saban and he thinks Bill will get this turned around.

Never thrilled with the hire. I didn't care at all for Belichick when he was at New England - he just always seemed like a jerk and there was the cheating scandal and the fact that he's a Trumplican. And while there was no denying his success with the Patriots I also doubted whether that would transfer to the college game, and after our experience with Mack 2.0 I wondered about the wisdom of hiring another coach his age. When his "relationship" with a woman 49 years his junior gained widespread publicity with that embarrassing interview earlier this year I was even less enthused.

But as a UNC fan I did hope for the best and so said several times that I would wait until the season started to see how he did on the field. Well, he sucks, and he's made UNC a national laughingstock, both with his inept losses and coaching and his go-go granddaughter girlfriend. Not much more needs to be said.
