I'm saying he quoted them. Sorry that is hard for you to get. He wants to wait and get truth. Which everyone should. I would fire BB myself if what Ollie tweeted is true.

Im not saying this is universally true, but every person Ive ever heard or seen use the phrase "fake news" unironically is...well...not smart.
 
Hard to see Bubba, and the rest of the athletics department, giving their full support to BB if what has been reported is true. I also don't see IC, or 247, publishing stories this severe without knowing they're true. So odd.

Well I was not there. But the BOG member said Lombardi and BB warned him about fake news months ago. Now perhaps this Bog member, who is absolutely smart, used poetic license, or perhaps you think BB and Lombardi are not smart. Or maybe they put air quotes around it. I laugh we are talking about it. Again, if half what Ollie said is true BB should be gone now. Period. Especially since we are told he brought up triggering own buyout. Then IC said mid season firing is unlikely. So something is fake or inaccurate.
 
Hope to God it's just the PR people trying to save face for both parties. The damage at this point is insurmountable and we need to move on as quickly as possible.

ETA: A tweet of simultaneous quotes from both parties HAS to be PR shit trying to save face in the event he stays the rest of the season.

I don’t think we should read too much into that part of it. Obviously Bubba wasn’t the face behind bringing Belichick like you usually see with a coaching hire, but the AD usually is the default spokesperson in these situations.
 
On 247, Kiawahman responded to the joint single-statement tweet with:
"Obviously, a lot of dysfunction going on in the program right now, but there are a lot of fake leaks and fake news going around the Kenan football center."

Question - aren't 247 and IC a little less plugged-in under this new regime? If true, probably same can be said for WRAL and the rest of the world.

Yeah, I've felt the same way about them giving him at least one more season. But given the increasing bad news that seems to be pouring out of the football program like water bursting through a collapsing dam, I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that they're going to be forced to remove him at the end of the season, if not sooner, no matter what the buyout or fallout is. The publicity has gotten so toxic that they're not going to be able to avoid doing something drastic.
