A proposed documentary series following Bill Belichick’s first season as the University of North Carolina’s football coach is still being shopped around, PEOPLE confirms.
The news comes just days after it was reported that the proposed docuseries, allegedly set to air later this fall on Hulu, had been nixed. However, a source close to the project tells PEOPLE the docuseries has not been scrapped, but rather Hulu is no longer involved.
"Hulu wanted Keeping Up with the Belichicks, but that was never for sale,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Their vision ultimately wasn’t in alignment with the university’s.”
The source adds: “The contracts between UNC and Everwonder are still in place and are valid. There will be a documentary, Hulu is just no longer involved in production or distribution.”
