And each game day and all that kind of stuff, we come out and re-evaluate things, and go from there. So there’s, of course, things I could have done better. I think we can say that all the way down the line, but sometimes you just got to keep your head down and go to work and try to get better.”

I always root for UNC and have for over forty years. Believing that the Belichick experiment isn't working to date doesn't mean that people are hoping UNC loses. Hopefully he'll turn it around, and hopefully we'll win every game the rest of the way. Having serious doubts that Belichick is the man to turn the program around doesn't change being a UNC fan. It is quite possible to root like hell for UNC to win and still not care for Belichick as a person or to have serious questions about his coaching to this point. UNC sports and UNC fandom is bigger than any one coach, or at least it should be, imo.

I am rooting for UNC. But if we get our ass kicked, which I fully expect, I won't shed a tear. The more ass kicking, the more pressure to make a change this year.
The worst result would be a semi-competitive 7-10 point loss.

Losing a 2027 in state RB who’s commitent was loose at best doesn’t affect me at all. Good flip on the corner, i think he was a top 10 guy in 2027 before he reclassed and hopefully he can come help right away and it works better than the last highly rated corner early enrollee/reclass.
I’m obviously pulling for UNC and i’ll stay up and watch.

We didn't land anyone today. We received a reservation -- one that can be cancelled on a whim. I'm highly skeptical that these reservations will stick if the beatings continue.

At least one poster on here has said he is leaning toward rooting for Cal. Seeing if there are others. Clearly a lot of folks want BB gone and losing is the quickest way for that to happen.

Every single person on this thread Ioves UNC, loves UNC football, and wants it to succeed. Every single person. Nobody is a better UNC fan than anyone else here because they are willing to go the mat defending the head coach against all current evidence, and nobody here is a better UNC fan than others for wanting this seemingly failed experiment to end sooner rather than later. We all want the same end result- we simply differ significantly on how we think that end result can/should be achieved.

Yeah, well just for your reference it didnt feel like some sort of genuine fact finding question. It felt like some weird chest thump "im the bestest fan in the room".

why question how anyone fans? some of us realize loses are better in the long term for the program instead of a long slow cut. feel free to blindly follow if thats what you do...doesnt make you any better or worse of a fan

He’s mad that people are criticizing Belichick instead of using this thread as a safe space to defend him, so he’s asking that question sarcastically with the implication that everyone not on board with Belichick is therefore not rooting for UNC.
I'm not mad about anything. I'm frustrated with the on field product, that we fans are in a circular firing squad. I don't think I'm a better fan. I just am not going to root against kids who come to UNC and work hard to represent us, etc. I want them to have success and I will root for them.
