from 2014-2016, he compiled the worst record for a UConn HC since 1920.
in 2017, he was hired as Nebraska's DC and torpedoed their DFEI from 46th to 98th.
in 2020, he brought Purdue down from 75th to 86th despite a huge talent upgrade.

the one exception was a decent performance as LA Tech's DC in 2019 that got him the Purdue job, but that's a lower level of competition.

edit: remember that David Hale tweet listing the experience of BB's staff? next to Diaco, it just says "is Bob Diaco." that's the level of known incompetence we're dealing with.

I get the criticism/hate for his job as a DC, but he seems qualified enough to be a position coach. Maybe I'm not being critical enough, but I don't care to criticize the defense or their coaching too much thus far. The offense on the other hand....

like somebody else said, it's not like he's ever coached DL before. the DL hasn't been actively bad; it's not like i'm saying he's Tim Cross - but i don't have high expectations for him either and it's yet another example of how poorly and thoughtlessly this staff was constructed.

You mean HC? Cuz DC is probably mixed given that he won the Broyles Award at Notre. Or do people assume that was Brian Kelly's D?

Man, I think it’s going to be a ghost town today at BKS. The Old Well Walk is sparse. Very few people milling about Tar Heel Town or whatever they call it now on the quad. Maybe it will be a late arriving crowd.
 
we are here going to watch the free concert then go back to tailgate eat and drink and watch real football on tv. wouldnt step foot inside stadium to support that garbage our admin has delivered
 
I’ve been coming to the Old Well Walk now for 23 years ever since I was in middle school. I’ve been at it when we were godawful during the Bunting years. I’ve been at it when we were struggling mightily under Larry Fedora. I walked in it myself during my time with the team in undergrad. Coach Davis was always very interactive with the fans and insisted that all of the rest of us do so as well. I have never seen coaches or players look more surly, more disinterested, less enthusiastic, less interactive with the fans, than what I just saw. Belichick walked by himself 30 yards ahead of the team, surrounded by state troopers looking down at the sidewalk literally the entire time. Really, really poor look. Get these grifting goons out of my football program.

Carolina insiders are spreading loads of negative info that is meant to tear down BB but it trickles down onto the players. And "fans" are fanning the flames. There's a ton of hate and I wouldn't be surprised if players aren't happy with some "fans", probably playing for themselves, the team and coaches, at this point.

I particularly like how BB doesn’t talk to a single player throughout an entire game. Speaks volumes about the man.

The players are professionals at this point. If they don’t like it they can leave. There is not a single player on this garbage roster that I care whether or not they return.
 
Last 2 apparently UNC TDs have come off the board because the player failed to control the ball across the goal line. This offense is nowhere near good enough to be taking TSs off the board.

Really?

I haven’t paid much attention to Belichick on the sidelines. He’s given me the heebie-jeebies since before I moved to Maine (which meant I was supposed to be a Patriots/Red Sox/Celtics/Bruins fan).
