Happy for the team - it's been a rough season and they haven't quit
I’m glad the Heels won. They beat a SHITTY team without a P4 or G5 quarterback.
The Heels also had a 5-yard penalty (illegal procedure or similar) coming out of a time-out in a goal line situation.
A Tar Heel defender lined up offsides. Even I saw him.
The stripped fumble? How many stripped fumbles do we give up before the coaching staff teaches the players that other teams will strip them?
A procedure penalty coming out of a time-out and lining up off-sides? That’s Mack era eff-ups. Belichick was supposed to bring discipline.

I think we're at the point that if you can't find any positives then it's because you don't want this staff to succeed.

Yep. The positives are everywhere. Recruiting . Defense. Money for portal. Kids playing hard. Some heavily invested in BB failing. Also media has stood down.

UNC hasn’t beaten a good team and it hasn’t played a definitively good team.
UNC still makes Mack Era brain dead errors - penalty coming out of our own time-out inside the 5……….and lining up offsides - shades of Des Formerly 5-Star, then 4-Star….then Pffftt as a career….I can’t remember his name.
UNC could run the table (Stanford, Wake, d00k, and ncsulol) and it proves nothing. Lose one and we still suck. Lose all four and we still suck. Win all four? We likely still suck because all four of Stanford, Wake, d00k, and ncsulol are bad-to-mediocre.
Yes. No matter what we won’t be a good team this year. But that really isn’t the point. After the horrendous start, the issue is really about direction. Are they getting better? Are they improving? If they can continue to get better and then have a good offseason - and recruiting is going much better this year - there is the potential we won’t suck next year.
After the Clemson game, the idea that we wouldn’t always suck with Belichick seemed far fetched. Now it at least seems theoretically possible.

We have 4 games left against piss-poor ACC teams. If we win all four, no one cares.
Why?
They’re the little weak sisters of the poor and horrid ACC.
UNC can run the table and be 7-5 and go to the Mayonnaise Bowl or the Military Bowl and play Temple or Louisiana Tech or Rutgers and win and end up 8-5.
We’re still a shitty team with shitty coaches and a crappy general manager that NO ONE but his best buddy would hire.
I’m hoping LSU follows through with its Governor’s statement and Trump hires LSU’s new coach and that coach is Trump’s favorite Trumplican coach, Bill Belichick.

I, for one, support this idea and would like to see it happen.
Tell me that UNC winning the Mayo Bowl and watching Belichick get the mayo bath wouldn’t be an absolutely great moment to witness.
I’d love to see Bill Belichick get a Mayonnaise bath………except for one thing…….a Mayo Bowl win likely means a contract extension.

No offense, but weren't you the poster in the basketball thread who said that you don't even like college sports anymore? If that wasn't you, I apologize. Regardless, some people will never be happy. That doesn't mean that you have to drag the rest of us down to your level. Believe it or not, some of us actually enjoy seeing UNC win and are happy for our team.
