If it makes you feel better, unless the offensive scheme and game management gaffes get corrected 180 degrees, it’s not likely going to matter what the recruiting accolades look like. We can’t win college football games in 2026 with an overall philosophy from 1996.i can already hear the excuses for next year its just what coach lovers do
Good question. It’s not really something that schools publish or discuss publicly so it’d be almost impossible to know what others are doing, but from a UNC standpoint one of my former roommates is in a financial and accounting role at Carolina and shared with me when we sat together at the UVA game a range of numbers (but not exact figures) of what we’d been offering to certain guys (like the Miami and Penn State fellas who flipped in October).I wonder how much we're spending on recruits, compared to others. Has anyone seen this discussed?
My sense is that we are spending significantly more than those we are competing against which is a big reason for the success. I dont know that as an absolute but it is my sense. I wonder: 1. Is that sustainable? 2. Does it indicate to any degree at all a different character/mindset of those we attract?I wonder how much we're spending on recruits, compared to others. Has anyone seen this discussed?
I am not adding any inside information-but from all the insider information posted it seems there are a handful of schools that spend a ton more than us-but we are not outside the top 20-we maybe top 15, or better? But the very top schools -well we can't compete.Nothing newI wonder how much we're spending on recruits, compared to others. Has anyone seen this discussed?
I have no idea what I’m looking at here because I have zero understanding of Photoshop but it does not seem wise for her to continue down this path. I’m guessing the implication here is that she altered/doctored the screenshots.
Thank heavens we hired a guy who was specifically renowned for his "no nonsense, no distractions, all football all the time" mentality or else this could have gotten really embarassing!I read a few of the Twitter responses after looking at your post. There were a couple that seemed knowledgeable who said it has to do with altering the screenshot and then saving it to the compressed format. That leaves shading issues that become apparent when adjusting the color and saturation.
In other words, yes, altered. For what purpose? Who knows. I just wish she would be loaded up by the ICE goons and disappeared.
ThanksThis might be helpful on how much we are paying. Or might not.

I have never noticed an "NIL value" assigned before. And when I asked the question on IC On3, I was warned not to put too much stock in it. So you can decide for yourself. But IF this has an validity, then it appears to me BB and Lombo are doing a terrific job because as you will notice, our NIL Value trails every other school in the top 20 not by a little, but by a bunch. I know that does not fit the narrative, and in fact might not be the case, but that is what I would take from this. Either way, I can see positives or negatives. If in fact we are not paying as much and getting comparable talent, that suggests BB and Lombo are selling something beyond a paycheck and perhaps are saving some bucks for the portal. I dunno. Maybe someone on here does.
we arent getting better til we get talent. give bb osu talent and he wins big also. untalented teams do not win period. give daye umass talent and osu is getting blown out every game just like umass is getting now. most sports are pretty damn simple no need to over complicate itIf it makes you feel better, unless the offensive scheme and game management gaffes get corrected 180 degrees, it’s not likely going to matter what the recruiting accolades look like. Definitely agree with all of that, 100%. I do think, though, that truly great coaches can maximize the talent that they *do* have by adjusting things like scheme and playcalling. Certainly you're not going to win nearly as many games as Ohio State wins without having Ohio State talent, but there is a medium in which truly good coaches are able to get the most out of whatever talent they do have by adjusting accordingly. For example, not trying to force a short QB who has difficulty making reads and going through progressions to become a pocket passer, and instead creating opportunities for him to move the pocket and create plays with his legs.we arent getting better til we get talent. give bb osu talent and he wins big also. untalented teams do not win period. give daye umass talent and osu is getting blown out every game just like umass is getting now. most sports are pretty damn simple no need to over complicate it
Aren’t those self reported numbers? As i said earlier, recruiting is going fine. Not sure the strategy is the best, and not sure it’s going well enough to justify the money we’re spending, but it’s going fineThis might be helpful on how much we are paying. Or might not.

Do you think Cal, UCF, Wake Forest had significantly better talent than this UNC roster? I'm not asking that sarcastically, so don't take it as such.we arent getting better til we get talent. give bb osu talent and he wins big also. untalented teams do not win period. give daye umass talent and osu is getting blown out every game just like umass is getting now. most sports are pretty damn simple no need to over complicate it
