Betting line is over/under 4.5 wins. Sports books aren’t expecting much improvement. This season will see improvement. Stop the negativity. Don’t hate a coach just because of his politics.

4.5 wins would be significant improvement given the harder schedule. I’ll go with 3 wins.Betting line is over/under 4.5 wins. Sports books aren’t expecting much improvement.
It was more than floor and poor competition - he looked like a different player vs duke. I don't think we changed the scheme. Our OL suddenly didn't become decent. Something changed in Gio's physical health or mentality OR one of the coaches got him thru a funk.I get that they play calling and scheme were suspect, but Gio looked overmatch. Thought he was a little better by the end of the season but only because the floor was so low.
Last time our qb situation was so poor were those two last Fedora years.
I certainly do hope for all of that. Nothing would thrill me more than for it to turn out that I am completely wrong about how this Belichick experiment is going to go for UNC Football. There is no evidence to me that any of that will occur, though, so that’s what I’m basing my statement on. We did upgrade our offensive coordinator but that is about the only place we significantly upgraded this off-season. That’s not good.I choose to hope that we look disciplined, well-coached and well-developed this yr, and put a team performance we can be proud of on the field. Off the field - i don't care care unless there is some ethical or moral problem unless it is sapping funding. Short skirts and foia requests don't fall into either bucket.

People were saying that last yr about Gio. There will be no QB or RB upgrades if the OL sucks againQB is a huge upgrade.
The OL will suck again. And QB will still be a significant upgrade.People were saying that last yr about Gio. There will be no QB or RB upgrades if the OL sucks again
Let us hope. I think it's more likely that the OC being an upgrade is more relevant than the QB being an upgrade. I don't see Billy Edwards or whoever the other dude is we got from Texas A&M being that much more significantly talented or capable athletically than Gio Lopez, so let's hope that the major upgrade we got at the OC position carries us.QB is a huge upgrade.
Thats nothing more than blind hopeThe OL will suck again. And QB will still be a significant upgrade.
I wish Taron Dickens was around for spring practice - he seemingly has some potential but will come in pretty behind everyone else.Let us hope. They both are. I think you are giving Gio too much a benefit of the doubt. Even though the scheme did him no favors, he was not a G4 level QB - plus he was injured. Jason was negative on Gio before he got here and has been fairly high on Miles and Edwards.Let us hope. I don’t hope the OL will suck. And the QB comment has far more to do with what left than what arrived.Thats nothing more than blind hope
