This is a mock turtleneck (it is a turtleneck only partially up the throat, without length to or past chin that can be rolled or folded, basically the shirt that coach K and staff wore for last 30 years):




These are dickies -- basically getting the look of a turtleneck or mock turtleneck under a shirt or sweater without the added warmth of a full turtleneck shirt:

Why would anybody wear a dickey? Why was it invented? If you're going for the turtleneck/mock turtleneck look, why go thru the effort of putting on the dickey and then pulling another shirt on on top of that? Why not just go with the thing itself? I actually wore one (DYI if I recall correctly, we cut down a turtleneck into a dickey) one time at a Christmas Vacation themed party, I've seen the movie but am not obsessed with it, but evidently one of the characters wore a dickey and I went as that character. But my questions (burning questions) about the dickey remain. It's obvious why the writers of Christmas Vacation found it a source of mirth and mockery....

No, but since Kitchens is the interim coach and also going to be retained on the new staff it won’t be a weird dynamic so I wouldn’t be surprised if Belichick is there to watch. Probably a bit of a tryout for some of the players that aren’t going to transfer and still have eligibility lol.
