Mack was a lazy hire from the get go and a lot of us said so at the time. I will admit that I thought I might be wrong when he started bringing in top 15 classes, but after we wasted Howell and brought back friggin Chizik I knew we were dead. He should have been fired at least two years ago to try to salvage the Maye era but UNC football doesn’t care about results.

Two more scores for the Dukes and they break their single game record of 80 against Morehead State.

Bubba didn't hire Mack, I'm not sure why Mack's failure should be held against him.
Oh, he did. It was absolutely 100% Bubba. He called Mack the day after the Duke game in 2018 and offered him the job, and THEN got the donors and PTB's on board with it.

Yeah I was never a fan of the hire. I’ll admit that he actually did a pretty good job his first two seasons, but the program has been on a steady downward trajectory since that embarrassing VT loss week 1 of 2021. How a non significant number of our fans still weren’t seeing that going into this season is beyond me. They are either in complete denial or just aren’t very intelligent.

By the way, we are not going to win 6 games with the weakest schedule in the history of major college football.

And Mack should not coach the remainder of the season. I'm not sure who should because the entire staff is garbage, but a vivid message must be sent.

So what the hell happened? Turnovers?
Where to begin? The fumble inside their 5? The punt they blocked for a scoop and score? The offside play that let them go for a deep ball TD? The onside kick that bounced off one of our players? The pick six with a minute left before the half?

That was just the first half...
