I'm here in Berkeley, super excited to be able to see the Heels play nearby (even though it seems absurd that the teams have to travel all the way out here).

I was thinking of making a weekend trip from SoCal for the basketball games if we schedule a Saturday-Monday turnaround. Already planning on going to the Cal football game -- and hoping for a better result than 2018.

I was thinking of making a weekend trip from SoCal for the basketball games if we schedule a Saturday-Monday turnaround. Already planning on going to the Cal football game -- and hoping for a better result than 2018.

Made the trip in 2018 and had a blast (other than the game). At a pre game party on Shattuck Ave, I attended GAA sponsored party with lots of other Carolina fans. The bartender asked "why are so many folks from North Carolina here today?" - not realizing there was a Cal/UNC game that day. Can't imagine that happening in Auburn Ala, Clemson SC or even Chapel Hill. Look forward to returning.

My guess the Syracuse game was requested/mandated by ESPN as part of the deal of reducing conference games from 20 to 18. One, it probably draws decent ratings and TWO - lots and lots of Syracuse alums at ESPN.
