5 threes in a row and a parade to the line with at least some of the calls being suspect made it look a little worse than it was. I doubt they'd hit those same five with no one on the court. Not saying I'm proud of our effort but it wasn't a complete collapse on the court either.

I feel like that metric should be tweaked somehow so that when a team cuts into a big lead in garbage time, the winning team won’t be penalized.

that 28 in the last 6 minutes helped the Heels drop from 32 to 38 in the NET. Not a good result. Glad to see Davis start hot, but this team doesn't seem to know how to put the foot on the accelerator and keep it there.

I dont see the need to take anything good or bad from having to play what is basically a really good high school team.
We have had enough of a sample vs good to really good college teams to know we are nothing more than an average team this year.

I don't see that happening. You guys have played a top five schedule. A brutal schedule. Your losses are to Kansas, Alabama, Auburn, Michigan State & Florida. You have wins over UCLA & Memphis. (Memphis went to Little John and knocked off the Tigers)
Looking at your schedule, you probably won't be seriously tested until the Pitt - Duke - Pitt gauntlet. (Yikes) And I'll bet by then that you're ranked and comfortably in the projected field.

I don't think that matters. Memphis is pretty damn good this year. I see the ACC this year as:
1. dook
2. UNC/Pitt/Clemson
3. Stanford/ND/Wake/Louisville
The first four should be NCAAT shoe-ins. But no doubt the bulk of the conference is garbage.
No one in the ACC is a shoo-in, except Duke.

Damn, I don't want to agree with this.
But with the SEC getting 32 bids, it's going to be hard. (Hyperbola based on listening to the announcers in each game. I don't believe I've watched a game where the superiority of the SEC hasn't been mentioned, no matter what conference is playing).

I may be underselling them but I don't think Duke is that good. They start too slow, can't shoot and have terrible guard play.

In the 90s and early aughts all Dickie V did was howl about the ACC. It was insufferable (and like many I started muting the sound even if I couldn’t get Woody on terrestrial radio).
