Doesn’t seem likely this team will be able to win enough at this point to make the tournament. Lubin was god awful down the stretch. The transfers have been utter failures. The offense seems to rely way too much on one on one action. Hubert is in trouble.
 
Around the 3-minute mark: UNC down 1. Louisville misses a close range shot. Withers is in perfect rebounding position but he mistimes his jump (a common theme with him). He watches the ball fall instead of going after it— just stands there— and a Louisville player gets the offensive rebound. Lubin then fouls a guy shooting a very long 3-pointer. That guy hits all 3 of his free throws. It was all downhill from there.
 
The defense is awful and they have no big that can score. They don't rebound. And the halfcourt offense is stagnant with no movement and no real offensive scheme
 
Low IQ, period… across pretty much the entire roster. And composure and effort are so inconsistent.

I hope this doesn’t spiral into the tank, but it feels like it has potential to.
 
This team is so brutal to watch man. It’s hardly even worth wasting time discussing what’s wrong with them at this point because the list is so long.
 
Carolina makes a nice run to get to that 70-69 spot...that lineup showed some signs. The play from 3 minutes in was awful on both ends. Some really bad possessions on offense and not much better on the defensive end. RJ Davis was very sloppy with the ball today.

The front court is overmatched game in, game out. Lubin would be a nice energy guy, fourth post type. Washington just gets pushed around too easily and just doesn't have a strong enough base to use leverage.

This is one of the road games that you need to pick up for your tourney resume.
 
Time for Hubert to go. Can't put correct pieces together to build a team. Runs a crappy NBA style offense without the talent. He is clueless as a coach.

I love Roy, but he sent us into this spiral by putting in a coach that can not coach or build a team.
 
In the words of Dave Wasserman, I’ve seen enough. I have no faith that Hubert can be an effective coach here. The run in year 1 greatly skewed things - without that, this would be a no-brainer.

Just about anyone could get the results Hubert’s getting right now. Carolina should always have an above replacement level coach.
 
I've not commented on Coach Davis up to this point but I've seen enough to believe he is not the answer. He doesn't appear to be able to work the portal well. He certainly doesn't appear to be able to get this team to get. I dont see a real positive path forward.
