Trump is nakedly admitting they want to access lithium, minerals, oil. So, I presume you finally believe Trump about taking their oil?? Venezuela is rich in lithium, metals, nickel, cadmium, cobalt, gold... $1.36 trillion work of minerals! Venezuela is our South American asteroid.

Trump lusting after Venezuela's oil and minerals could not be more obvious...and he'd tell you so! Trump wants Greenland next for its minerals. Another bank robbery - he has Putin's permission if we continue to slow walk Zelensky.

It's the oil and minerals - not the drugs. Or certainly communism, because Trump just put a commie lackey in power!
Oil is not processed at a smelter. Neither is lithium from the ground although it can be used to recycle batteries.

I'm wondering if you can help us all understand why a smelter built in Tennessee with Korean consultants and JP Morgan financing should be indicative of Trump stealing Venezuelan mineral resources. I'm sure you have a very clear picture, otherwise you wouldn't have shared that twitter post about a smelter, but the rest of us aren't quite following your logic.

Any idea what Trump and Rubio are referencing when they talk about the oil that was stolen from us?
Venezuela nationalized its oil industry in
1976under President Carlos Andrés Pérez, creating the state-owned company Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) to take control from foreign companies like Exxon, Gulf, and Mobil, aiming to control its vast resources, though the process involved compensation and later led to disputes, with PDVSA facing production declines and international sanctions impacting its operations today.

Rubio has future electoral goals. Miller is a shadow politician who can better afford being the titular head of what is to come.

So they didn’t “steal” any oil, which was in the ground in their country. How the fuck does that make it “our oil?”

When can we expect to see poll numbers for this (let's call it what it is) invasion/takeover?

I'm sure the pubs are going to approve of the move by at least 75% just because it was Dear Leader who did it. But I can't see Independents broadly supporting it with all the struggles going on here.
