CNN is reporting that an oil tanker the US is pursuing has now painted a Russian flag on it.

No idea if Russia claims it but this could get really tricky.

I would welcome anything that causes a rift between Trump and Putin. Not predicting this would but I suppose it’s possible.

It would not surprise me if this is all a way to extract bribes from the cartels.

On either case, a significant bribe would absolutely do the trick.

1. Trump can’t be charged even if it was proven the crypto buys influenced him. I would think that’s a core constitutional act of a president acting as commander in chief.

2. Even if proven, it isn’t swaying a single person who supports Trump today. Most would refuse to believe it.

3. It would be hard to prove in court and harder to prove in MAGA world.
 


Just got off the phone with @SecRubio

He informed me that Nicolás Maduro has been arrested by U.S. personnel to stand trial on criminal charges in the United States, and that the kinetic action we saw tonight was deployed to protect and defend those executing the arrest warrant

This action likely falls within the president’s inherent authority under Article II of the Constitution to protect U.S. personnel from an actual or imminent attack
