Talk about lacking awareness. What flavor of ice cream did yo have president Biden? The president is as sharp as a tack says Jake tapper and the rest of the media who covered for senile Joe? His entire administration was a cover by the coddling media. Hell, trump gives his cell number to reporters. He talks way too much to reporters. Joe had to have the questions written down for him.

Agree with your first two sentences. Should have just stopped there before the lack of awareness showed, or hypocrisy.

LOL. Did Joe Biden's Defense (excuse me, War) Secretary ever say that he would be glad when liberals bought Fox News so that it would stop criticizing his administration, as Hegseth said about CNN? Have liberals been trying to buy and take over right-wing news media outlets and turn them to the left, as right-wingers have been doing to formerly mainstream outlets to mute criticism of Dear Leader? And when the truth about Biden did come out, Democrats almost immediately called for him to withdraw his candidacy, and that happened. When is your side going to do the same with Trump, despite an abundance of evidence that he also is suffering from mental decline and is completely unfit for the job? The lack of awareness and hypocrisy is all yours buddy, and not mine.

You don’t have to buy media outlets when you have them committing journalistic malpractice to influence elections. CBS, nbc, abc, cnn, msnbc, nyt, Wapo, latimes, pbs, npr, sf chronicle, Detroit free press Chicago tribune, the hill, New Yorker, guardian, the Atlantic. Jesus Christ, the left had a monopoly of media protection.

Jesus, are you really trying to argue that Trump isn't getting senile? At this point nobody with a brain is arguing that Trump is in his right mind or isn't batshit crazy insane. Good god, man, do you have eyes, ears, and a brain? Can you not see and hear him on television, read his social media posts, and so on? And you really believe that he's OK and normal? And I didn't deny anything about Biden, so I don't know what you're talking about. The bottom line is that when he was exposed he had to step down under pressure from his own party. It's called having a backbone, which is something that your party completely lacks when it comes to Trump.

He sounded just as bad in his first administration as he does today. No different. Normal for trump. His comments about Iran were intended to maximize shock value on the regime. He took it waaaay too far and was called out for it. He also got slapped down over the Jesus meme. You can’t watch his 60 minutes interview tonight and claim that wasnt standard trump.

I think you need to fact check your opinion on media bias. You seem to be misinformed.
 
So you're posting in here past 1AM and you expect us to believe that you'll be getting up at 5AM to carefully peruse three dozen different periodicals and online news sources for three hours? I also notice that if you really actually did that, you'd be spending a whopping 5 minutes per news source of reading. Luckily you spend hours on end in here, maybe your evidently sponge-like brain will eventually absorb something pertinent. Or maybe not...

I think you answered your own question. As a side note, one of the Sunday morning talking heads noted that had Trump, Vance and Mike Johnson all been taken out, Chuck Grassley would be our president right now. I'm not saying that wouldn't be an improvement, but my god, Chuck Grassley...

I know you read a lot of news sources but I think you’re in a bit of a bubble when it comes to Trump’s mental capacity. The majority of Americans, and the vast majority of the rest of the world, know he’s either senile or on a high speed train moving in that direction.

Nixon- 2 attempts
Ford-2 attempts
Carter 1 attempt
Reagan 1 attempt
Poppy Bush 1 attempt
Clinton 4 attempts
GW Bush 1 attempt
Obama 11 attempts
Trump 5 attempts
Biden 1 attempt

Of course, most of these were quietly thwarted and forgotten by the public.

If you honestly have read all of those news sources that you claim to peruse every day, and watch the news, and still believe that Trump hasn't suffered some clear and sharp declines in his energy and mental and physical abilities since his first term (and yes, he's always been dumb and ignorant and rambling and so on), then there is no need to argue with you any further, as our world views are so drastically different there is nothing to be gained by doing so. And if you think that all of the media sources you cited are still liberal that only adds to my point. You can continue to argue with others, I am done here. I'm sure that you will say that I'm just living in a "bubble", but the truth is that you're the one who is trapped defending and excusing nearly everything Trump does and says, and whether you admit it or not you're as blindly MAGA now as any Trumper poster here.

I don't understand all the coverage. The shooter got no where near the dinner or the President, Right? There was no assassination attempt, Right?
Now I get it there was a crazed person in the area with malice in his intent-and the Secret Service "got him". That happens-not infrequently

The attack happened with all the major White House reporters from the entire country also in the room during live coverage of the event on multiple 24/7 news channels, so it’s gonna take them longer than normal to process and move to the next news cycle.

There was an attempt, but it was nothing special that would require days of hyped coverage just as most of the attempts on previous presidents were not... see my post above.

As nycfan posted, the difference is that this attempted happened in the public eye and experienced by the mass media.
