When is it too late to Whitewash this Board?

When will it be too late - or is it already too late - to start deleting all of the posts and comments like “our President is a moron”, or “ Fuck Trump!” or “Trump is Putin’s bitch” and similar?

What I mean is, soon after the complete annihilation of our democracy, and the unchecked authoritarian regime of Maga has taken over the United States, when will Stephen Miller and his team of henchmen make their move on us?

You know they have been monitoring boards like this for the past few months and will continue to do so. DOGE already has all of your personal information. Your social media accounts are easily compiled and sorted into two stacks: “Trump Friendly” and “Enemies of Trump”. They’re watching and waiting… “standing by” as it were.

Should one go back and start deleting all of the posts and comments casting aspersions on Trump and his regime (it’s no longer an administration, it’s a regime). Or is it too late… they already have all the screen shots they need?

If I quit the board now, and delete my account, would that be enough? Or do I need to go back and delete all of my comments, poasts and threads I’ve started - whitewash this board and clean up all of my droppings I’ve left behind for Miller to find and make exhibit A for my prosecution at the tribunal?

Or am I too late? The jig is up… I’m already toast?

I don’t post, although I do occasionally respond to comments, about politics on the large social media sites, and I haven’t since 2016. This and heeltalk are really the only places I do choose to be involved in these discourses. There is of much greater risk than here.
 
You're being overly concerned with your importance. It's probably being brought up in the Christian tradition. Now that's truly overweening arrogance. They believe the Creator of the Universe cares about them as individuals.

I ask you, shouldn't Christians who believe that the Creator is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent have to accept that the universe is as old and as large as scientists claim? If they do that, can they not get that the whole of human existence according to science from the first hominids is the equivalent of the last 4 seconds of a year? Can they really think that's the sort of connection that would make them the crowning glory of the universe or that any single one of them is worth the eyeblink of individual attention and , more particularly , judgment they believe in?
 
If that was aimed at me, then I don’t think I am important at all. But I am also risk averse, for better and for worse. And, as a teacher in a school system with a local conservative newspaper that treats teacher news like it is celebrity scandal, I have to be careful about what I say on social media. I like my job.

When my sister was younger she was schoolteacher at a school for developmental disabled kids in Warrenton When she bought beer at the Grocery she would go to the next county..........
 
I doubt I rank high enough to be of concern to them. I mean, me as an individual. Me as a part of a leftist cabal of academics that secretly plot to undermine MAGA by using obscure, devious legal and procedural means - we have groups that meet regularly throughout campus - is potentially a different story. I doubt they could do much to me, but it would be terrible if the Trump administration used my contempt for that fat, slovenly, drooling bastard as an excuse to go after my employer, NC State University, as retribution. But you know, TACO, so we’d just tell them to fuck right off. We’re the flagship university of a critical swing state so we’re basically untouchable. I dare them. I double dog dare them.

It was just the morning coffee and pot kicking in and my customary disgust at the attempts of humans in general to consider themselves special. Nothing to do with this thread in particular but some of this and some of the speaking in tongues thread and such.

Been there, done that. I've been castigated by a Principal because of a post I made on FB, It wasn't overtly political, but I did throw the head coach of our football team under the bus after yet another loss. But I was vindicated as he was summarily fired at the end of the season. (I felt entitled to my critiques as I used to be a football coach at the school several years earlier...but I digress).

I totally get it... teachers and public servants have to keep your head on a swivel and watch what you do and say in public forums.
