White Lotus season 3

“… Frank Tramble, the vice president for communications, marketing and public affairs at Duke, said in an email that the university did not approve of the use of its “marks” in the program.

“Duke appreciates artistic expression and creative storytelling,” Mr. Tramble said, “but characters’ prominently wearing apparel bearing Duke’s federally registered trademarks creates confusion and mistakenly suggests an endorsement or affiliation where none exists.”

Mr. Tramble added that the show “not only uses our brand without permission, but in our view uses it on imagery that is troubling, does not reflect our values or who we are, and simply goes too far.” …”

In other words the show seems to be right on point about dook.

That was a heck of a finale. Emotionally draining. My wife cried for a good 5-10.minutes after it ended.

The Darth Vader, Luke as son, ending.

So the very opening scene with the lady masseuse running through the jungle with shots fired and her son running to her rescue was just a total ploy and never happened. Needless.

I'm torn on the Belinda and Greg storyline wrap up. The viewers wanted to see Greg pay for his role in her death, and to not get that is disappointing. However, as Mike White said on his commentary, he wanted someone else to profit from her death, so Belinda riding off with $5,000,000 tax free is a nice ending for her.

Overall, I thought this season was as good as the first two.

What? The opening scene happened. It just wasn’t shown among the sequence of events surrounding the shooting that was shown in the finale. The opening scene was basically just Zion’s (who we didn’t know yet) perspective when the shots were fired, as he feared that something happened to his mother. At the time we were unaware of the main thing that fear was based on but would later learn that it was based on the situation with Greg/Gary. Of course, as we eventually learn, that shooting would not have occurred if Rick got to see the therapist rather than Zion.

Beat me to it. It also wouldn't have occurred if Jim had just told Rick that he was actually his father. Their lifelong estrangement ultimately cost both of them their lives. It makes for an interesting contrast against the Ratliff's seemingly coming together amidst their impending crisis and near-death experiences during the week
