4.3 as of right now.I failed at Wordle today. Will be interested to see what the board and NYTimes averages are today. I'm guessing north of 4. Already had a flurry of 5's, 6's and fails from various Wordle text buddies...
I get this all the time. Most obscure words lead to that message.4.3 as of right now.
After my fourth guess, the Wordlebot told me there was only one remaining solution. I guessed something different which was accepted and the bot then said, βThere was only one possible solution left β and this wasnβt it. (XXXXX is a valid guess, but itβs unlikely to be a solution based on what Iβve learned from playing Wordle.) But thereβs still only one solution remaining. You should solve the puzzle on your next turn.β
How bizarre! My fifth guess was a bit of a flier and I was sort of expecting the app to shake it off, but it accepted it. The Wordlebot lied and then tried to rationalize it! Apparently the learning model of the Wordlebot is learning from Trump.
I like adieu because it knocks out 3 vowels.I used to alternate between LEAST and STARE, but STARE was the solution on a day I used LEAST. Now I use LEAST every day.
According to the stats I have hit a 1 three times. But I only remember it happening once.My only 1-guesser was my starter word I'd used for a while - TRASH - but switched it up to a different one when that hit and I've used that one ever since. Maybe one day it'll hit again. Been using it for ~2 years now, so who knows.
We have different starting words but that was my same rationale today as well. That and prioritizing Wheel of Fortune letters and trying to maximize words eliminated with each guess are my primary strategies.I actually reasoned out today's word (for a change).
TRAIN - got the green "R"
PROBE - got the yellow "P" and the green "E"
All vowels were basically used up; a "U" didn't make sense for the remaining letters, and placing a "Y" anywhere in the middle didn't make sense, so needed to very likely re-use the "E"
