I did this at 4am and completely blew the second word by putting my one yellow letter in the same place. I do play in hard mode so apparently you can do this in hard mode.

Yes you can. I've made that mistake as well as using letters that I've already eliminated.

Yes, it will allow you to make a letter placement mistake, but it won’t allow you to omit a letter that is already been uncovered.

The times for the cookie are almost impossible.

I’ve been too busy to get to pips several days over the holiday. But the cookie times for medium and especially hard levels are ridiculous.
