Florida surgeon is being charged with 2nd degree manslaughter after killing a person by removing his liver when the operation was supposed to remove his spleen. This is the second time -- the surgeon also had a case where he removed part of the pancreas instead of the adrenal gland.

Here is the order suspending his license. It's a crazy read. He saw the liver and thought "this is a huge spleen, so diseased and it migrated across the body." That's like confusing Texas with Maryland on a map. Good lord.
This guy is 44 years old. That means he's probably been practicing for at least a little while. I don't know how he could possibly have gotten this far if he can't tell a spleen from a liver. Either he's Dr. Nick Riviera or he has mental health/substance abuse problems.
