2024 National & State Elections (Not POTUS)

Just saw my first TV commercial attacking Michele Morrow, the nutcase GOP candidate for NC Schools Superintendent. It listed several of her more outrageous statements, including that she wanted to see Obama executed on pay-per-view, and participated in the 1/6 Capitol Hill insurrection. Long past time for these kinds of ads to be released, but at least they're finally showing them. Like Robinson, she's said enough crazy stuff that her statements alone are probably enough to sink her if they are publicized widely enough.
Child services should be at her house yesterday. Seriously, her kids are effed for the rest of their lives.

I cannot remember wanting a candidate to get absolutely curbstomped, smushed, and pulled apart limb from limb (all metaphorically, of course) as much as Kari Lake. I mean, within the realm of possibility; I would love to see Trump get wiped out but he's not going to lose by 10 points. Lake, though.

She's not necessarily the worst candidate ever; MRob probably has her beat on that front. But all her whining and bluster and conspiracing and dictator-tough cosplay and frivolous lawsuits make her so, so detestable and it would be delicious for her to go down in the flamiest flames you've ever seen.

Also, it's a Senate race so more important than governor (sorry, NC residents, you know it's true).

I have seen the ad pretty regularly this week. Glad to see they are running it.

I was listening to 1A on WUNC earlier and they were discussing local and state judicial races. Someone said that there is good online magazine that provides information and analysis on judges running for election but I missed the name.

Anyone have that source or another one. I want to vote in all the judicial races and I want to make my votes count.

I liked Filipkowski's closing salvo in that piece:

"Donald Trump continues to put his thumb on the scale in Republican primaries for corrupt reasons, and the end result is Republican nominees that give Democrats the best possible chance to win.

Mango Mussolini's incompetence and stupidity continues to be the Democratic Party's secret weapon."

INDY Week maybe?

I haven’t seen an ad for Robinson in awhile. Considering how close we are to Election Day I would say forever. I don’t stayed glued to the TV, but with it being early October you don’t have to watch long to see an ad for a candidate in an important race. I’m seeing plenty of Stein ads. It would appear the GOP has pulled the plug on his campaign.

I haven't seen any for him or Morrow. Hope that's a good thing.
