Maybe. And if you can get the Republican nomination, you have 45% of the electorate locked up.

That said, a whole lot of people thought they would be the next Trump 2.0, and so far, no one else has been able to claim the mantle.

If Trump wins, then JD Vance is in the pole position. If Trump loses, it’s hard to imagine the Pubs will want to go down the businessman route again.

Not to mention he’d need a constitutional amendment in order to run.
Good point, I somehow always forget he's not US born. But I think Elon sees himself more as Trump's successor in the kingmaker realm... not so much as being the king himself. With Twitter as his platform, he thinks he can take Trump's place as the person who makes or breaks Republican candidates... that they will all have to come kiss his ring after Trump is gone.

I still think hes scared of crimes hes committed and only Trump can save him. Wait till he starts saying he'll be jailed if Harris wins, its coming.

You could quite literally say the same thing about Taylor Swift.

ETA- All endorsements are news, especially in a 24 hour news cycle.
No offense to Caroline Rose Guiliani, but Taylor Swift's endorsement might actually convince folks to go register and to vote that otherwise might not and to do so for Harris. It's actually a news-worthy event because she does actually influence folks using her fame.

Absentee Ballot arrived yesterday, gonna fill it out and send it in today. Beats the heck out of fighting the crowd on election day.
My wife and I have voted absentee in presidential and midterm elections for many years now, and we've never had any trouble and our votes have always been recorded (you can check and see if your votes have been recorded on a county website). We got our absentee ballots for this election a few days ago and will be voting soon.

Musk's goals are broader than that. Like Peter Thiel he wants to break the world down through disinformation and division and build it back in his image, with as much power and wealth for him as possible.

"many Republican voters who she voting for Harris but don't want to be on camera"
Deadline White House reporter in Wisconsin

Hmmm sounds like the silent Harris thing could be huge

One of the many reasons I'm getting increasingly confident in not just a Kamala win, but in a substantial Kamala/Stein victory in NC. I may be wrong, but I'm not backing off my projection right now.

According to Google, the dude is worth north of $250 billion. Just putting it all in guaranteed government bonds would yield him billions of dollars in income annually. How much more money or power can a person have or need than that??

A man like Ringo has got a great big hole, right in the middle of himself. And he can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.

I think his ultimate life goal is to be the first person to set foot on Mars. I have no idea how much that would cost but inflation adjusted, the moon landing cost about $350 million. I assume the moon landing would be cheaper now with 60 years worth of science but a Mars mission would be well north of that I would imagine.
