Scenario: Trump wins the election. Trump continues his erratic behavior once in office. Vance invokes the 4th Section of the 25th Amendment and assumes the office and powers of the President, until such time as a physician of Vance's choosing declares Trump fit to return to office, i.e., never.

Question: Under the above set of circumstances, when Vance assumes power and begins the inevitable round-up of undesirables, will that fact that I have and regularly use a PayPal account (PayPal being founded, owned, and run by the same person who founded, owns, and runs Vance, Peter Thiel) be enough to keep me out of the re-education camps?

100% anecdotal of course, but so far Trump is way way down vs 2020. I just had to take the family on all of the fall-y agritourism stuff and so spent most of the day driving rural Virginia country roads in 5 or 6 counties Trump won by huge margins in 2020. In 2020, nearly every farm had a Trump sign in the front, some full custom jobs and nearly the size of billboards. This year you could count on one hand the number of signs for Trump, and all but one were the very basic standard sized political signs. But even more surprising was there were at least as many Harris signs, possibly even more. I drove these exact roads in 2020 and the difference is extremely noticeable. Trump is still going to crush Harris in these counties, but the margins will definitely be slimmer. Most of these people will still vote for him, but it seems like at least some of them have some shame about it this go-around, which hopefully means his turnout will be depressed.

this is also my experience.

in 2020, 4-5 of my neighbors had trump signs in their yard. there is not a single trump sign in my neighborhood right now.

you see them out in public along roadways but there are definitely noticeably less on private property.

I put some Harris/Walz signs at road junctions in my rural NC county yesterday- alongside (but not obscuring) the Trump signs. They were gone this morning.

4 years ago, my son (6 at the time) put out a hand-painted "Go Biden/Harris" sign. Someone stole it. Saw the big truck tire tracks in the roadside. So clear it was a kid's sign, too...just gross MAGA evilness
