This kind of Balkanization is bad news for whichever candidate wins in the general.
Not to sound like Sen. S.Collins . . but it is concerning..

It is 100% expected. Not to sound like Sen. S.Collins . . but it is concerning..
I don't care if Page is more loony than Lara Loomer and twice as extreme as Steven Miller, I will laugh my ass off from now to eternity if Phil Berger loses a Republican primary. In the NC GOP state senate primary between Phil Berger and Sam Page, Page leads Berger 55% to 45% with about half of all precincts reporting. Unfortunately for Page, nearly all Rockingham County precincts have reported and most of what is left is in Guilford County, where's he's not as well known and Berger is favored. Still, losing your lifelong home county by double digits is petty telling of what Berger's neighbors think of him. But if he can win Guilford by enough to prevail I'm sure he won't care about that at all.
Biggest political upset ever?
Yeah. It’s one of those “I better be careful what I wish for” things, but, man oh man, it would be nice to see Berger’a reign end.I don't care if Page is more loony than Lara Loomer and twice as extreme as Steven Miller, I will laugh my ass off from now to eternity if Phil Berger loses a Republican primary.
Chip Roy is getting ran out of the building as well in the AG primary.Dan Crenshaw got smoked.
Tony Gonzalez’ counterintuitive late push to affirm his Republican credentials appears to have paid off.
If Page loses, he should pull a Jefferson Griffin and see how Berger responds.Page now leads Berger by 172 votes with 2 precincts still out. Both precincts are in Guilford County, where Berger has been winning by a wide margin.
