I just looked them up. Every one of them has a DEI element to their business strategy.

Por que?
DEI element to their business strategy? Elaborate please for MSTR, for example. How has MSTR’s DEI strategy propelled its business, and absent a DEI strategy could it not have achieved the same performance?

The woke mob doesn’t like Sydney Sweeney for some weird reason. Anyone trying to act like there’s some racist or nazi meaning behind that ad is just too far gone.
Seeing things when they don't exist is a symptom of conditioning. It's not all liberals, of course. Probably just the fringe.

Who is this "woke mob" who doesn't like Sydney Sweeney? According to many conservatives, I would be a part of this "woke mob" but I haven't seen this outrage you speak of.
I didn't pay the slightest bit of attention to the merits of this story until this morning. I'm now convinced it's one of those things that is 99% happening in the right wing infosphere. No doubt there have been a few weird liberals who have tried to make a big deal about the ad campaign, but this is not actually a story about liberals. It's a story about how little it takes for the right wing infosphere to create a viral story attacking liberals.

duh. it's a commercial for clothing.
Nazis make commercials too.

You wrote that whole post and it was fully refuted by four words. Does that make you feel good about yourself? Whether or not this ad actually is eugenicist (which I never said -- I said it was "weird"), it's certainly possible that ad makers could be playing on fascist sensibilities -- you know, like the ads for guns and gold and other prepper bullshit that show up on Fox News sidebars.

There is no “woke mob” that is attacking Sydney Sweeney. Nobody cares. There was like three weirdo terminally online libs who said stupid shit and now the entire right wing angertainment ecosystem has got conservatives frothing #madonline. Same thing as the Mr. Potato Head and green M&M’s controversy a couple of years ago. It’s just a bunch of limp dick online conservatives blowing a gasket on the internet for…. reasons. Here in the real world, nobody cares. It’s an attractive mid-20’s girl modeling jeans for a clothing company aimed at teenagers.

It is hilarious. A bunch of whiney blue haired females with nose rings crying and complaining about a pretty white girl in an ad. Libs of TikTok performs an invaluable service of providing me (and other conservatives) the feeds since I'm certainly not on TikTok.
Just one of those blue haired females would rock your fucking world if you could ever get one into bed. I don't think your palm is the adequate substitute you think it is.

I'm a liberal and I think Sydney Sweeney is very attractive - I thought she did a good job in White Lotus and I don't really have an opinion on the ad for American Eagle - I don't shop there and I'm not their target demographic
Same. If nothing else, this thread really drives home how much manufactured outrage there is on the right.

That critique either entirely misunderstands or misrepresents why people complained about the ads. It has nothing to do with Sydney Sweeney being hot and posing in blue jeans. Again, I think the uproar over the ads is silly, but responses like that, that either willfully or accidentally misrepresent the original critique, are just grist for the outrage mill.

as of this morning i've asked 8 different "libs" for their thoughts on this ad campaign and not a single one of them thinks it is offensive. 4 of 8 had not seen the ad. 3 of them opined that SS is hot, including my dad - lmao. my mom said it is "a bit much" but was referring to the sexual undertones.

not a single note of outrage from anyone.

Right lolol. I have no idea how conservatives have such little capacity for shame as to get constantly worked up about the most idiotic transparently bullshit things on the Internet, time after time after time after time. I love spending time on the Internet as much as the next person, but my goodness I just do not have the capacity for getting riled up day after day after day over the most trivial manufactured outrages.

Since American Eagle is targeted toward this demographic (college age kids), if you polled 100 liberal college age kids on any given college campus, something like 98.8 of them would have the same exact reaction all of us are having. Right wingers are losing what little bit of their minds they have remaining over the apparent 1.2 ultra progressive goobers who apparently think Sydney Sweeney‘s initials SS means she must carry an autographed copy of Mein Kampf in her jeans pocket.
