Rodman really is a good comparison for Reese. Here's a comparison of their rookie year stats (I used per 100 poss because she played 2x the number of minutes per game than he did as a rookie):

They have some differences...he's a better shot blocker and shooter, she's less turnover prone and gets more assists, she's a BETTER REBOUNDER...but they are quite similar overall and he's probably a good model for her as she develops her game.

She’s a poor shooter at 38.3/22.2/72.0.

She’s probably an above average defender.

She’s an elite rebounder. If you’re elite in an important area you’re valuable.

Rodman was a late to basketball, old second round pick from Southeastern Oklahoma State. His career path was unique. He's a bad comp for virtually everyone. I see far more Andre Drummond in Reese than I do Rodman.

Almost ZERO of Dennis Rodman’s rebounds were mebounds. Plus, Rodman was a GREAT player; Rick Mahorn wasn’t a great player. So far Angel Reese doesn’t look like she’ll be a great player.
