True but don’t often see them referencing covering or not in the ticker info. The gambling culture is big on ESPN.
Yeah, could be a new trend.True but don’t often see them referencing covering or not in the ticker info.
It's pretty disgusting at this point. The gambling culture is big on ESPN.
Agreed. It's pretty disgusting at this point.
5-4 close, seems about right. Lose to duke twice, and 2 of At state, at miami, vs clemson and vs louisvilleAccording to Rob (i haven't verified this), Kenpom expects/projects UNC to finish the ACC 11-7.
Some of these metrics = paralysis by analysis.Thank you for this post.
This video has been a good education for an old codger like me.
Until now I never realized that wins and losses don't matter. It is all about how you perform possession to possession in the games you play and metrics.
So whether we beat dook** this Saturday doesn't matter because it is just a win. It is how we beat dook** that matters ?
So if we blow a 32 point lead against dook** and win in triple overtime, does that help or hurt our metrics ? Would it be better to play a close game throughout but lose to dook** by 3 points ?
I'm just trying to get up to speed on whether me treasuring each victory and paying attention to our record is no way to think about college basketball.

thanks. a friend at the game relayed that to me as well.My son said all the students are wearing them and he just seems to be playing along.
It really depends on the possessions/outcomes on whether it would help or hurt.Thank you for this post.

Also, we should keep in mind, to date, our ACC schedule has been pretty "easy"5-4 close, seems about right. Lose to duke twice, and 2 of At state, at miami, vs clemson and vs louisville
Was CF saying that HD/staff can't make adjustments at halftime, or that they can't in real-time, or that they can't at the start (i.e., prepare them for the game)? I agree that we usually play a lot better to start the 2nd half.Interesting chart. First part of the second half really stands out. Those people who say HD can't make adjustments at halftime should probably check that out (CF, I'm talking to you).
More in-game adjustments and having a gameplan going into the game based on the individual opponent. It's more about overall consistency and not having collapses like last night, or stretches where they are up and then can't score. Was CF saying that HD/staff can't make adjustments at halftime, or that they can't in real-time, or that they can't at the start (i.e., prepare them for the game)? Seems like a safe bet. Dook beats us twice to go to 5 loses and then I doubt we go undefeated again Clemson, LVille and NCStateAccording to Rob (i haven't verified this), Kenpom expects/projects UNC to finish the ACC 11-7.
