As for me, I support HD.

Yes, I am disappointed in this years losses.
Yes. I am disappointed that we didn't get a true rim protector. Thought I like Washington and was expecting more considering how the portal went.

I hope that we get some wins over these next two weeks and make the tournament. I'm not expecting a final 4, but would love to go deep into the tournament.

I know that I have been spoiled by such a high level of consistent winning during my life.

As for the HD's future, that's up to the school.

You don't have to agree with me, or even think what I'm saying has any merit at all. However, I'm positive that if you go back and watch the games again from last year, then you'll see several periods of what I described.

I’ll give you that. But it is what it is. Some want Hubie gone pronto… others want to give him this year and see how it plays out. We got Caleb coming in next year… roll the dice with the portal…
But ya gotta like what Theo said in the video about “not letting it happen again” and bringing in some heavy hitters for NIL portal money.
All that sounds good to me.

Going forward, You’ll get no more argument from me. But, I’ll remain in Theo, Joel, Raymond and JJ’s camp… and hope for the best for the remainder of this year.
If we suck, lose out in the portal again, (by not landing anyone and losing some of what we have now) Then, yeah, Hubie needs to face the fire and possibly should offer his resignation.

If we finish ok this season. Make the NCAAT, and do well in the Portal - landing that big man we so desperately need - then Hubie probably gets year 5. Whether anybody likes it or not.

For now, I’m off to watch a middle school basketball game. A team for which I used to be an assistant coach 25 years ago. These kids get after it! Full court man to man and trapping half court zones… you guys would love it. Forcing turnovers, getting run outs… one of the 8th graders can dunk it already. Fun stuff.

Have fun! My 13 year old is having to miss his league finals game for indoor soccer tonight because he came down with some kind of illness. Sucks.
 
I've decided that I'm done with the discussion of Hubert's future for the foreseeable future. There's nothing to be gained in every game being a referendum on his future and we aren't covering any new ground at this point.

I know we all want what is best for the program and that we all hope that the season turns around starting tomorrow night. Maybe we'll make a 2022-like run to end the season and we can all be excited it.

The good news is the problem will take care of itself - one way or the other and regardless what we say.

My team lost! 70-65... Other team was unconscious from 3. It was an away game and their court is an old High School court, which is a tad bigger than a usual middle school gym. They have a distinct home court advantage, practicing on that court every day. Tough place to play.
Hope your kid gets better soon!

Wait, HS courts are bigger than MS courts? Or is it because the HS court is old and they used to be bigger but now aren't?

I thought that HS and MS courts are the same size.
