Auburn has a much better and more aggressive defense than we do and are a much more complete team than we are. Maybe we get hot in March and make a run, but it appears this team has some fundamental challenges in making a six game run in the NCAAT.

Then again, when the 22 team lost to Kentucky by 10 gazillion in Las Vegas, I never thought that team would be up 15 in the championship game.

Then again, when the 22 team lost to Kentucky by 10 gazillion in Las Vegas, I never thought that team would be up 15 in the championship game.

Hard to see how we manage the lack of a post presence at the elite level but still should be a fun team to watch.

At least the Bama game is at home but they just beat Houston in OT tonight. That is a conference mandated game but would be nice to have some easier games after that instead of a conference game. Thoug GaT has struggled in the OOC.

Not to overreact to a decent loss… but I’d love for HD and staff to look at these teams like Dayton, Auburn, Iowa St. and think about abandoning the NIL sweepstakes mirage and try to bring in some of these absolute dogs who will be around for multiple years and run through walls for you on every possession.

RJ is a prototype, but even guys with lesser talent than RJ who have that kind of grit can form teams that have a consistent identity that is really easy to get behind.

That was insane! Seth Trimble was the well-deserving player of the game. Davis was great in the second half and I was impressed with Powell down the stretch. Interestingly, the Heels took the game with not a lot from Cadeau during comeback and winning time. This is a spunky bunch but sooner or later that lack of an inside game is going to burn them big time.

... and they got burned tonight. Auburn simply has too many grown-ass men to contend with, especially Broome. Not that the Heels can't beat them but Auburn was the better team tonight (and likely the better team on most nights).
