I didn't mind it. And it's not because I'm gay. It's cause colon cancer is scary as hell

So 7 years until I go back. No biggie. The last day of prep is annoying and you don't sleep much. The day of, however is nice. I ate Jersey Mike's afterwards. Don't remember much but I believe it was great

My colonoscopy was uneventful.

I do have a tendency to come out of anesthesia slowly. I was told I would be able to leave around 1 PM. They finally awoke me enough to push me out of the facility at 5 PM.
I recall the nurse saying it's 5 o'clock, you have to go so I can go. 😁

I fell back asleep in the car.

Truth be told, after my night's sleep I still went twice more that morning before I left, then again once at the clinic. I actually walked to the clinic (1 mile) in the morning. I took a spare pair of shorts and undies in a backpack just in case things went sideways on the way there... but no problems.

I had the pills, not the liquid. So I just swallowed them all down in a few minutes (pills are easy for me). It was something like 12 horse pills each session, though.
I had a liquid, it was horrible. Like drinking salt water, I almost threw up trying to drink it. I couldn't finish the second round.

It worked, I spent about an hour on the toilet and I was empty.

My last colonoscopy was at the Duke Health Care facility across I-40 from Southpoint Mall. After I got thru my wife wanted to go to the mall to eat lunch and do some shopping. I said sure. She was driving so I figured it was her call anyway. We parked and entered the mall at Belks on the second floor. She did some shopping there and then wanted to go to the lower level. We left Belk’s and came to the escalators right outside the store. She stepped on the escalator and proceeded down to the lower level. I stood at the top of the escalator and couldn’t get my feet to match up with the moving steps. She asked me why I hadn’t come down yet. I told her my problem. A woman who worked in the mall was passing by and heard me. She took me to an elevator around the corner. I was still a little drugged I guess. It was a weird feeling.

You didn’t have to arrive with someone to drive you home?

Might need to change the thread title. All I've seen in here is stuff about colonoscopies and nothing about other rectal adventures...

I've had 2 colonoscopies with no anesthesia out of professional curiosity. Honestly felt like bad cramps from a GI bug. I figured my father in-law served in the Pacific so I could manage a wee bit of cramping.

cary elwes life is pain GIF

Yes, my daughter was there to drive me home. But I was so out of it they couldn't get me up and to the car.

This has happened each time I've had anesthesia. I'm always out much longer than expected.

They said as long as I gave them the cell phone number of the person picking me up, they did not have to be there until I was done. They did call the person to confirm. I was a little shocked, they let me take the elevator down on my own and meet them in front of the building outside.

I don't think any of us really want to hear any fellow members' adventures in the behindular zone.

Now, if we have any ER nurses or docs that want to share stories, that could be fun.

That is pretty shocking. My wife went through it and came out of anesthesia and I don't think there's any way she could have walked without assistance. Certainly wouldn't risk it just based on the one in a thousand patients that were dopey enough to take a header.

My doc said that if my insurance would cover the piulls, then 100% use the pills.

They kept us under observation for quite a while before letting me change and go to the waiting room. They said I was coherent from pretty much the moment I woke up. It was hilarious sitting in there listening to the ish people were saying. Some 75ish dude kept flirting with all the nurses, and they kept reminding him his wife was in the waiting room. I suspect they were expecting my friend to come up and get me in the waiting room... and I just happened to slip out on my own when they were not looking.

My wife says no and I can't find a boyfriend. 😁 so no adventures for me.

We need dumpslikeatruck, I'm sure he has stories.

Just to be clear, I wasn't calling for folks to share their other rectal adventures, just noting that the thread title might be a little misleading to any hopeful sodomites or other rectal adventurists who happened to glance at it...

Had my first one about 6 months ago. The prep sucks but it's a part of it. The procedure itself wasn't bad. I got in trouble with the nurse because when they woke me up she left the room and I layed back down again. She told me I wasn't supposed to do that. Anyways got a clean bill so 10 more years for me.

Since superrific took enough interest in my colonoscopy to create a thread, I feel obligated to provide a report.

Well, everything went well. Two small polyps got snipped, which is about average for me. Lab results to follow. The report included some amazingly clear pictures. I can post them, if anybody wants to see them. They look kinda like a cinnamon roll. 🤠
