Nice country youve got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it
The Canadians would absolutely crush any American invasion force. It would be sort of like Ukraine/Russia. The Canadians would be fighting for their nation, and the US troops would be fighting . . . for what exactly? Hard for me to imagine US military commanders doing their best work under those circumstances, or for American soldiers to fight hard.

Shows how stupid Trump is. Can anyone on this board (including our Trump apologists) could envision a scenario where we are talking about the potential of us invading one of our best allies? Okay trumpers, please respond. Don’t you realize what your orange god is leading us into?

9 years later and it's still working....

Trump’s ‘Flood the Zone’ Strategy Leaves Opponents Gasping in Outrage

A deliberate effort by the president and his team to roll out an unceasing flow of initiatives has knocked his rivals off balance in the first days of the new administration.

My stepson's Canadian girlfriend (they've only known each other through the internet) tried to come down from Saskatchewan to where he lives in California. She flew into Vancouver, and before she could catch her connecting flight, she got interviewed by Immigration & Customs. She had a valid passport and ID, but they asked her for tax documents and work history, and about 10 other things, and drilled down on how she was going to support herself here, and ended up denying her entry.

She ended up stranded in Vancouver, hungry, and with no place to stay. We were able to get her a pizza and an uber to a hotel (though we had lots of problems with trying to use American credit cards), and now they're just going to drive to North Dakota to pick her up.

I've never heard of this level of bureaucracy coming/going from Canada to US. Is this the new normal...did Trump sign some kind of executive order about this?

And going forward, would a Nexus card solve it?

NEXUS cards work great, but not sure how long that program will be kept going if the US increases the hostility and depletes the federal workforce.

I dunno if MAGA would go that far; I hear that some of those Mexicans are kind of swarthy and have strange, grapefruit-sized calves. They make good beer and tacos but they talk funny.

Which raises the question as to what culinary benefits we get from adding Canada as a state? I'll grant you the beer, but talking food here.
Poutine
Doner kebabs
Ketchup Chips
And more Poutine
