Why is that peculiar?

I think football at all levels have a rule that allows the refs to award points for an egregious penalty that serves no purpose but to prevent the other team from completing an obvious score. It's rare that a player/team does something clear cut enough to enforce such a rule, but I'm pretty positive it exists at all levels.
Right. What other ruling would they make?

So—are both UVA and FSU good teams? Or are they both standard mediocre ACC teams?

UVA has a pretty easy schedule from here on—they don’t play UM, GT, or Cuse. Will they drop a game or 2 against subpar conference teams?

What to make of FSU? Will they rebound or will they end up with 3-4 losses minimum?
Is anyone in the ACC good?

Not even a little. If we are gonna be horrible, at least they can join us.
Well, it looks as if, as usual, Doeren is down to one game to get back into the good graces of State fans and keep his job. And we all know what that game is. So I'm sure that however the rest of this season plays out for them, State will be well-prepared for their game with us and they'll probably put forth their best effort of the season, as they usually do. Doeren probably starts planning for the UNC game during the summer, as that game more or less guarantees his job security there. He's probably already been working on his trash-talking lines and insults if they win the game, as that also makes State fans giddy.

I watched the Florida game and I understand what you see in them but I just dont share the enthusiasm
UF was ranked and just crushed #9 Texas today.
ND was ranked in the top 10 and looks like a solid top-20 team at a minimum.
USF was ranked and looks to be the top team in their conference and a strong contender for a playoff spot.

UM beat them all, and just beat #18 FSU. Shoulda been worse.

Any thoughts at this point? What ACC team do you see tripping them up?
