Go Canes!

Beck looks good. Got bailed out at the end of the half by that awesome TD catch. OL is solid. DL is good. Secondary has mostly been ok, but a lapse on that ND TD.

Only 1 penalty in the half. A couple botched snaps—one of which led to a botched FG, which would’ve been nice to have.

Hope they can keep it up in the 2nd half.
That TD catch near the end of the first half was spectacular. Beck definitely looks in command.

The weather conditions are hardly pristine, which could have impacted the snaps.

Carr looks kind of meh overall so far.

Dramatic ending. Cristobal tried to give the game away with conservative play calling in the 4th, but luckily the Canes prevailed.

That was perhaps the best game of the weekend so far.

Ranked team losses first week +:

1 Texas (@ 3 tOSU)
4 Clemson (v 9 LSU)
6 Notre Dame (@ 10 Miami)
8 Alabama (@ FSU)
17 K State (to 24 ISU in Dublin)

Only one involved a ranked team losing to an unranked team, and @FSU is historically a very tough unranked game.

Clemson was the only ranked team to lose at home.

Week 2 games of interest:

14 Michigan @ 18 Oklahoma
12 Illinois @ Duke
21 Ole Miss @ Kentucky
11 ASU @ Miss. St.

USF @ 15 Florida
Baylor @ 16 SMU
Iowa @ 22 ISU

Virginia @ NCSU
Boston College @ Michigan St.
Vanderbilt @ Va Tech

Most of the rest are mismatches on paper.

Dabo’s a right-wing Christo-Nationalist MAGAt.

He’s immune to facts.
Not publicly. He's about as apolitical as every other football coach that wants to recruit Republicans and Democrats. Pretty much every football coach except for the guy at Liberty

UNC will probably need a lot of hate watchers to keep eyes on its team the rest of the way, though …

d00k getting spanked at home vs Illinois.
Not getting whipped as bad as we did vs. TCU… but it’s still a beat down on their home field. 45-19
d00k with 5 TO’s
Ouch

They’re going to get steadily better. Manning truly is an elite talent, and will get better with the reps. Most importantly, however, Texas replaced their entire OL, and no part of a team needs continuity more than the OL. I suspect by mid October Texas is top 10-15 in offensive efficiency, and should become a monster in the running game with Baxter, Wisner, and Manning.
How could they afford to replace their entire OLine ? lol it's Tejas football

The offensive starters definitely need more reps. Defense looks good. Time will tell.
