Something weird about Mississippi still referring to itself as Ole Miss and having rebels as their mascot. But it is Mississippi.
 
Heartbreaker for Wake but took some guts to go for two instead of playing for a second OT.

They got robbed. GT jumped offside late, and line judge missed it. Had they called it, Wake would've won. But the QB also tried for a bomb on that same play, when he had a guy wide open for a shorter pass for the 1st down.

Why is that peculiar?

I think football at all levels have a rule that allows the refs to award points for an egregious penalty that serves no purpose but to prevent the other team from completing an obvious score. It's rare that a player/team does something clear cut enough to enforce such a rule, but I'm pretty positive it exists at all levels.
