We will likely have 1 QB on the roster for the Gator Bowl.

I dont care they are leaving, but the transfer portal and NIL have turned this into a damn zoo

They need to have contracts like the pros if they are getting money. The jumping from tram to team every year is ridiculous. I don't mind them getting NIL money but there needs to be some guardrails for the schools.

Unless they become employees and there can be collective bargaining I don’t think it can’t happen, legally.

Has anyone else followed what is happened to Washington State?

They've lost the following coaches since the end of the season...

HC - Wake Forest (who was the last of the coaches to leave, not the first)
DC - fired
OC - Oklahoma
QB Coach - Oklahoma
RB Coach - Utah

11 starters in the portal, including their QB (a top portal player) who is assumed to go to Oklahoma

They are a bit unique in that a lot of their issues stem from the collapse of the PAC-12, as Oregon State had a terrible off-season after last year.

But they are at the point of having to essentially rebuild the entire program from this year.

I agree this is an issue but I think this is a relatively simple fix. Don't let teams start talking to potential transfers until after the bowl season. They should also do the same thing for coaches.

I doubt you could stop schools from talking to coaches before the bowl season is over.

Regarding players, the last non-play-off bowl is January 4th (the Orange and Cotton Bowls are on the 9th and 10th); at UNC, classes begin on the 8th.

The players have to be in place before classes start.

Add in the factor that 3 of the games are in cold locations. Most people have nice TV’s in their warm houses.
Yes. A few of my old dorm guys go to most bowls no matter how crappy; even to friggin Shreveport. None have any desire to go to Boston and sit outside in late December.
