Because they are taking advantage of us. We are being given an opportunity that billions would kill for, that Mexicans risk their lives for, and they're giving us the middle finger.

And again, what difference does it make? A criminal is a criminal. Is a native born criminal somehow less of a piece of shit than an immigrant criminal?

It is something at how many people actually have to be personally screwed over by Trump before they'll finally, at long last, come to agree that he is a snake, liar, and charlatan of epic proportions. As long as they're benefitting from him in some way they don't care what he does to others, but when he inevitably dumps and screws them over then suddenly they're "shocked" and can't believe how cruel he is. Which also shows just how self-absorbed and self-centered they are.

You haven't explained anything. You certainly haven't explained why criminality by an immigrant is somehow worse than criminality by a native born person. There is absolutely nothing logical to me about that kind of stance and it REEKS of xenophobia so I'm giving you an opportunity to explain.

I think they know what he is from the get-go, but they are under the foolish notion that "it wouldn't happen to me.... "
 
“… A massive, multiyear social-services fraud scandal has continued to unfold in Minnesota and been thrust into the national spotlight by Trump and Republicans. Federal prosecutors allege that dozens of individuals siphoned public funds through sham social-services operations. The Trump administration has zeroed in on most of the alleged defendants being of Somali descent.

The administration’s announcement on Tuesday came after a right-wing influencer posted a video that allegedly showed nonoperational daycare centers that were receiving state and federal funding. O’Neill said the allegations were “shocking and credible” and called on Walz, who is seeking re-election, to conduct an audit of the centers to include attendance records, licenses, complaints, investigations and inspections.

He added that the federal government will now require “justification and a receipt or photo evidence” before child-care payments are sent to any state, and that the administration had set up a dedicated hotline and email address to report fraud.

The sprawling fraud cases began in 2022, under the Biden administration, when the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minneapolis charged 47 defendants with allegedly exploiting a federally funded child nutrition program during the Covid-19 pandemic.“
 
Wonder what they are doing about the other 190 billion+ of pandemic fraud. most of which happened under Trump (much like this, btw).
