patriot of the year, lmao. what a clownshow.

meanwhile......

Melania Trump has always maintained that she legally immigrated to the United States and never violated the terms of her immigration status, a claim she has cited to defend her husband's hard line on immigration. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2006.
However, inconsistencies in her statements and reporting from news organizations have raised questions about her early immigration history:
  • Timeline Inconsistencies: Melania Trump stated she moved to New York in 1996. But a biography by Slovenian journalists and a 1995 nude photo shoot in New York suggest she was in the U.S. earlier, in 1995.
  • Modeling Work Prior to Work Visa: Detailed accounting ledgers and documents obtained and verified by the Associated Press show that she was paid for 10 modeling jobs in the U.S. in the weeks before she had legal permission to work in the country. This work occurred during a time when her visa allowed her to be in the U.S. and look for work, but not perform paid work.
  • Visa Type Discrepancy: Trump said she would return to Europe every few months to "stamp the visa," which is consistent with a B-1 tourist or business visa that does not permit employment. However, an H-1B work visa, which her agent reportedly sponsored her for in 1996, generally lasts for three years and would not require such frequent renewals. Entering the U.S. on a B-1 visa with the intention of working could constitute visa fraud.
If she did work on a tourist visa, immigration experts stated it could have technically constituted visa fraud, which would call into question her later green card and citizenship applications. Violations of U.S. visa law were reportedly not uncommon in the modeling industry at the time.
Melania Trump obtained a green card in 2001 and became a U.S. citizen in 2006. In 2018, her parents became U.S. citizens through family-based immigration, a process her husband, Donald Trump, has often criticized as "chain migration".

"Trump does not honor the Constitution" and has "turned the Supreme Court into a rogue court." He has "abolished the House of Representatives."

Ok, my point is that Pelosi could be crude, rude and classless as well by calling someone a "vile creature" and "worst thing on the face of the Earth" because she disagrees with his Supreme Court picks, etc.

I thought the truth was an absolute defense?

Don't be cute. Don't couch it as a disagreement based on policy positions.

Her core disagreement is that he's running roughshod over the US Constitution that has been the bastion of American democracy for the last 250 years.

Our disagreement is that you are 100% for that, and I am not.

“You think he’s the worst thing on the face of the earth?” Michaelson asked. Pelosi responded, “I do, because he’s the president of the United States, and he does not honor the Constitution of the United States. In fact, he’s turned the Supreme Court into a rogue court. He’s abolished the House of Representatives. He’s chilled the press.”

This is a politician who is retiring and fresh out of fucks to give. Good for her.

what is this little debate even about? no one has suggested that pelosi is perfect or the epitome of class but she's levels more respectful and respectable than djt.

let's all remember that he has been mocking the nearly deadly assault on her husband, carried out by one of HIS supporters, for YEARS.

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about folks like you is that you not only excuse, but actually embrace, Trump's constant stream of toxic comments - at speeches... during interviews... on social media - but than have the audacity to "whatabout" any response in kind. Do you honestly expect democrats to, 100% of the time, just roll over and take it?

Do you all remember Hillary Clinton's "Basket of deplorables" comment? At the time, many republicans through absolute hissy fits over it, and claimed that was why Hillary lost the election. Should she have said it? Probably not. But Trump, daily, writes or says something that makes that particularly comment seem mild. Don't want democrats to fire back? Show even a modicum of scruples in who you elect to the highest office in the land.

I've never said I "embrace" or even like Trump's often rude and crude comments about others. I don't like his decorating taste either. It's part of the package. I like his policies on balance and he gets s**t done.

And by "shit", you mean a white christo-nationalist fascist state. Not only is that "part of the package", that's the draw for you. Very explicitly so.

Because if you objected in any way to that coming as "part of the package", then the whole Trump thing would be a deal-breaker for you. The fact that it is not a deal breaker for you tells us exactly who and what you are. We see you.

Interesting that Trump can’t articulate anything he’s done on affordability on his own and calls Karoline Leavitt back to do so …
