If only we had some sort of precedent for how the Federal Government would handle someone who committed such a crime. I mean, it's not like she some pedophile enabler and and the current administration surely wouldn't treat her like she was a pedophile enabler, would they? Transfer to a minimum security prison with special perks would be off the table, right? Unless maybe she had compromising information on someone in the current administration. If so, then that's a whole different ballgame.
They'll just turn her loose.

Trump, After Call With China’s Xi, Told Tokyo to Lower the Volume on Taiwan

Japan, a U.S. ally that had angered China on Taiwan, found the message worrying

“… Days after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichioutraged China by suggesting a Chinese attack on Taiwan could mobilize a Tokyo military response, Xi spent half of an hourlong phone call with Trump, people briefed on the matter said, hammering home China’s historic claim to the democratic self-governing island as well as Washington and Beijing’s joint responsibility to manage the world order.

Later the same day, Trump set up a call with Takaichi and advised her not to provoke Beijing on the question of Taiwan’s sovereignty, said Japanese officials and an American briefed on the call. The advice from Trump was subtle, and he didn’t pressure Takaichi to walk back her comments, those briefed on the calls said.

The Japanese officials said the message was worrying: The president didn’t want friction over Taiwan to endanger a detente reached last month with Xi, which includes a promise to buy more agricultural products from American farmers hit hard by the trade war.

Asked about the exchange with Takaichi, the White House issued a statement from Trump to The Wall Street Journal: “The United States relationship with China is very good, and that’s also very good for Japan, who is our dear and close ally. Getting along with China is a great thing for China and the U.S. In my opinion, President Xi will be substantially upping his purchase of soybean and other farm products, and anything good for our farmers is good for me.”

“We signed wonderful trade deals with Japan, China, South Korea, and many other nations, and the world is at peace,” Trump added. “Let’s keep it that way!”…”

That's probably a good bet on the part of the Chinese. If things look bad for the GOP going into next year's midterms, and they will, then by next summer and fall Trump & the GOP will be falling over themselves to cut deals with nations we currently have tariffs on so they will have something to try and sell to voters. And the deals they hastily cut will almost certainly be favorable to other countries and not us. The Chinese in particular will likely run circles around Trump and his negotiators.

“… The U.S. Coast Guard should complete key design work before authorizing construction of additional Offshore Patrol Cutters, according to a new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report released this week. The watchdog warned that the service risks further delays, rework and rising costs if it continues building ships before designs are stable.

The Coast Guard plans to spend more than $17 billion to acquire a fleet of 25 Offshore Patrol Cutters, or OPCs, intended to replace aging vessels that perform search and rescue, law enforcement and other critical missions. The ships are being acquired in three stages and built by two different shipyards. But GAO found that neither yard has delivered any cutters and that both began building ships with incomplete designs.

… The OPC program has been flagged by GAO as high risk since 2020 due to significant overlap between design and construction and the potential for added cost and schedule disruption“

The hospitals have no room to accommodate mental health patients for any substantial period of time. There are far too many of these people and nowhere near enough beds. Hospitals as they exist currently are not a solution.
Yes and unfortunately because of the need some facilities pop up as little more than babysitters to make money from insurance.

The entire medical industry needs an overhaul.
