As long as the right conflate anti Israel and anti Jewish, there will never be an honest debate.
Kind of like the Left conflating anti-terrorism/Jihadism with being anti-Muslim, racist and Islamophobic.
Nobody wants another Holocaust. I don't want one on either side. A considerable group of the Evangelical Right only cares about Israel because of their myth of a Second Coming where an essential part is a restored Israel. Most of those idiots have no concern or thought of what happens to the Jews on such a return. I don't want to hear them talk about protecting the Jews ever again. It's just another sign of their lies and hypocrisy.
Israel isn't trying to eliminate Gaza, West Bank or Palestinians. It's only the terrorists/Jihadists that are trying to eliminate Jews/Israel and a majority of Palestinians support that effort.

So ABC is pressuring "The View" to stop criticizing Trump and his agenda...

and the View's response appears to be , uh...no

If only the mainstream media would have the balls to directly confront the Trump/MAGA/ GQP bs like these women do...sigh

There's a very short and direct line from the anti-semitic campus "protests" and the execution of this young Israeli couple. The killer even looks like a grungy, Marxist grad student or associate professor with his red kafeefe and stupid "Free Free Palestine" slogan. So glad we have an Administration who is clamping down on these student groups who disrupt Universities. These groups, led by people like Mahmoud Khalil, are nothing more than foreign sleeper cells - with useful idiot students. This is nothing short of domestic terrorism.

The only consolation is that his virtue signaling chant and Palestinian accessory is likely to land him the death penalty.
1. You have no idea what grad students or associate professors look like. But what do I know? I was only an associate professor at one point.
2. You're grateful for the "clamping down" of protests? Well, that's very likely what created this murder. If people are going to be disappeared for protests, then they might as well accomplish something for their trouble.

That's what the phrase "no justice, no peace" means. History has shown that oppression rarely crushes resistance, especially in societies with long traditions of free speech. Rather, what happens is that the resistance gets channeled differently. If you throw protesters in supermax prisons, they will cease to be protesters and will resort instead to what they call direct action.

3. Obviously we don't know much about this guy's specific motivations. Maybe he's been planning something like this for a long time. Maybe he would have done it even without the attacks on pro-Palestinian protest. But we do know why free speech exists, why politics exists: it's to transform conflict from killing to talking. That's also the point of law (which is also lost on you).

The whole pejorative concept of "lawfare" is ridiculous. Courtrooms are battlegrounds. They are designed as such. Again, the purpose of laws is to replace might makes right with right makes might. MAGA inverts that for obvious reasons, but it's sickening to see you complain about what you've created.

We already know he's a hard core lefty. As I posted on another thread, Rodriquez was an active member of the Party for Socialism & Liberation, the People's Congress of Resistance, Answer Chicago and a serial pro Palestinian protestor. He was employed as a research assistant working for a non profit in Chicago. Much more is likely to come out in the coming days.

Left wing violence is a growing threat - Rodriguez, Luigi, the Tesla Terrorists. This is not simply a free speech issue.

Judge says Trump administration violated court order with deportation flight linked to South Sudan

Eight people from Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cuba, Mexico and South Sudan were on a flight reportedly intended for South Sudan this week.

“… Government attorneys said that the migrants are in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody and that the plane has since landed. They declined to share the location of the plane’s final destination. …”

I guess they are so eager to violate a court order to deport criminals to South Sudan they left ICE Agents in Djibouti to guard the plane u til it can go to a secret location in South Sudan to offload these guys? Assuming that the claims about their crimes are true, weren’t they already in prison? Why the rush/need to send them to an undisclosed fate in South Sudan?

New head of Social Security, hired from Wall Street, tells staff he had to Google the job when he was offered it

ABC News obtained audio of Frank Bisignano's staff meeting with managers.

“… Frank Bisignano, a former Wall Street executive, said during a town hall with Social Security managers from around the country on Wednesday that he wasn't seeking a position in the Trump administration when he received a call about leading the SSA.

"So, I get a phone call and it's about Social Security. And I'm really, I'm really not, I swear I'm not looking for a job," Bisignano said, according to an audio recording of the meeting obtained by ABC News. "And I'm like, 'Well, what am I going to do?' So, I'm Googling Social Security. You know, one of my great skills, I'm one of the great Googlers on the East Coast."

"I'm like, 'What the heck's the commissioner of Social Security?'" said Bisignano, who now oversees one of the largest federal agencies that's responsible for distributing retirement, disability, and survivor benefits to more than 70 million Americans.

"Put that as the headline for the Post: 'Great Googler in Chief. Chief in Googler' or whatever," said Bisignano, who throughout the meeting repeatedly bemoaned media leaks from within the agency.

In Wednesday's 90-minute call, Bisignano sought to calm concerns about the future of the agency amid recent leadership turnover and scrutiny from Elon Musk's government-slashing Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE.

He told the managers in the meeting that Social Security was "not going away," adding that President Trump also agrees with that.

"This is America's, you know, safety net -- it's not going away. And hopefully you hear me say this every day," he said. "You know who wants me to tell people that? Guess. The president."…”
