Turns out using military ships to harass a small fishing/aid vessel has its perils.

It's really telling about just how awful these people are when it becomes clear that even they hate one another. Even leading Trumpers find all of the others loathsome turds and despise them.
One of many instructive and funny scenes in Monty Python's Life of Brian is when the new cult (the proper name for a new religion) of Brian splits into two factions: "Follow the gourd!" and "No! Follow the shoe!" Any cult begins to angrily fractionate soon after it forms, reason being, cults and religions are not based on objective reality but invariably focus on the "I am right, others are lost" ego reinforcement. It's why Christianity, for example, has splintered into many thousands of sects.

One ray of hope is that the Trump cult can begin to splinter and attack itself in ways as internally damaging as possible.

Scientists find "strongest evidence yet" of life on distant planet K2-18b: "This could be the tipping point"

Astronomers announced Thursday that they had detected the most promising "hints" of potential life on a planet beyond our solar system, though other scientists expressed skepticism.

There has been vigorous debate in scientific circles about whether the planet K2-18b, which is 124 light years away in the Leo constellation, could be an ocean world capable of hosting microbial life, at least.

Using the James Webb Space Telescope, a British-U.S. team of researchers detected signs of two chemicals in the planet's atmosphere long considered to be "biosignatures" indicating extraterrestrial life.

On Earth, the chemicals dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide are produced only by life, mostly microscopic marine algae called phytoplankton.

The researchers emphasized caution, saying that more observations were needed to confirm these findings, and that they were not announcing a definitive discovery.

Heard about this planet recently. Under the surface there is ice hotter than lava.

She seems nice. Embodiment of modern Democratic Party. As Carville notes: “We got too many preachy females in our party.”

While I’ve never set foot in a Cracker Barrel, its noteworthy that it now has a completely new decor.
I don’t agree with her POV, but she is no different than countless conservative influencers, including Trump, his entire cabinet, and probably every republican congressman. And the vast majority of Trump voters.

I would suggest the difference is you don't have conservative influencers telling their audiences that 50% of the country (that they disagree with politically) should be banned from engaging in public activities or barred from retail establishments because they are worthless human beings. For some reason, liberals keep returning to the deplorable theme. Hey, I'm not complaining because these types of comments only help my cause.

Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and others regularly go into the lions den of university campuses and treat liberal questioners with respect even though it is not reciprocated.

You don’t think republicans and republican commentators have been vilifying liberals for years. You’re too stupid to exist

You have conservative influencers to include the POTUS, his health secretary, and members of Congress pushing conspiracy theories on people and then those people end up murdering Democratic politicians and killing police officers while shooting up the CDC. Which is worse?

The difference is the President of the United States said he hates democrats.

And Trump goes before the press and acts like a horse’s ass. And a dumb one at that.

LOL about Ben Shapiro or Charlie Kirk engaging with respect. You know who engages with the other side respectfully? Ezra Klein. You should check him out. Ben Shapiro my ass.

It's wild that you think liberals are the ones who want to ban people from public activities or bar from retail establishments. Always projection with you mfers. The GOP doesn't want gay or trans people to exist, and if they must, not to be gay or trans in public even the slightest bit. Unless they are GOP cult leaders. Barred from retail establishments? I'm sorry, that web designer in Colorado who refuses to accept gay people as clients. Is that this GOP tolerance you're talking about?

Ben Shapiro wouldn't last five minutes in a debate with me. He'd be crying for his mom within two. That guy is a complete wuss with nothing to say. For being such a supposed whiz kid, he didn't even get magna at Harvard. You can get magna at Harvard without trying very hard -- trust me on that. If you've got the chops. If you're a dullard, you take the conservative courses with the conservative profs who hand out As like candy (in fairness, they will give As in their seminars to liberals too, but no liberal wants to take classes about stupid shit like competitive federalism), and maybe with those free grades you can eke your way into cum laude. Like 50% of Harvard graduates cum laude.

I'll say this for the aroused ram- he does us a valuable service on this board by helping us to know what the most shit-for-brains right wingers are bleating about at any given time, since he only gets his "news" and talking points sourced straight from the shitbirds themselves. I personally have no interest or desire in subjecting what few functioning brain cells I have to that kind of stupidity, but at the same time, I do like knowing what we are up against in the information sphere. His posts are also helpful if any of us ever get an entrepreneurial hankering and want to create some sort of product that appeals directly to impotent old white boomers with weird complexes about women.
