There is nothing "normal" about a course correction that dismantles our system of government and our democracy. This is pure insanity that threatens our way of life, as our government has been abducted by oligarchs and white Christian nationalists. And we're not even three weeks into it, so we don't know the full scope of the damage that will be done over the next four years and beyond.

Wait until that their red heavy rural school becomes insolvent after federal funding ends.

Trump and Musk don’t give one damn about rural people (never have) and don’t like subsidizing them. They’ve been taken in by a charlatan who pretended to care for them and their religion. They just needed their vote but we are now beyond that.

Dictators use people to gain power and once those people are no longer needed they are discarded.

I have hope though. Trump and Musk are moving too quickly. They might cause extreme economic hardship before they have completed their consolidation of power.

I tend to agree that they’re moving too quickly. The bureaucracy is not as decrepit as they believed.

Now even IT workers at USAID can regain meaning in their work. They have an enemy in Musk and his acolytes. And the left has someone to target that isn’t nearly as slippery as Trump.

Unfortunately, that is correct. To course correct, Dems will need violent opposition to Pubs. I wish it hadn't gotten to this point, but we are here now. It's just a matter of time with how bad things get, and if enough people are ready to fight.
