Last point, don't be like a conservative who hates curse words, but accepts horrible actions.
WTF? What do you think I'm doing? I'm think-tanking. That's what I'm good at. That's what many of us are doing. Paine and I don't agree on everything but we're trying to work together and find a strategy going forward. Hopefully that same conversation is happening on other message boards and social media threads and all the mediums people use for organization.

Fight, fight, fight is how Trump does things. Well, I don't want to build a left-wing version of MAGA. That would be Peron. No thanks.

I was here to help you. You will see that in due time.

Actually the high water mark for Republicans was Lincoln, Teddy and Dwight… From Nixon forward it’s been all down hill. My first president was Dwight. Of course I was too young to have voted for him.
Reagan, HW etc. ? Nah… Pat Buchanan, Gingrich… belly crawling snakes in the grass. Trump’s not a Republican… he’s a full blown authoritarian fascist.

Probably, but that doesn't mean he's as dangerous as many believe. It doesn't mean the country is coming to an end or he's going to declare himself to be king of the country. He's going to do his term, we'll all be ok and then we'll move on.
It's almost as if you haven't paid attention to anything in the world ever. Bless your heart, soldier of nothing.

Republicans are already publicly telling Trump he needs to obey the court rulings and do things the right way. Do you really think Congressional Republicans are going to stand by and let Trump make himself king? Congress has re-elections to run in two years. Are they going to let Trump destroy their chances? Is Trump going do something really dumb or illegal that would get Dems elected in 2026? Do you think our courts or military are going to stand by and watch fascism make its way in to our government?

Trump has already conceded he will obey the courts and fight the funding battles the right way - in the courts. Does that sound like a fascist dictator?

So, if he is obeying the courts, why is the funding still frozen?

1. Trump has conceded nothing. He has mouthed words to that effect, but he literally changes his positions by the day. His actions do not appear to be accepting of judicial oversight, nor the statements of his minions.

2. I don't know what Congressional Republicans are going to do. But if they can't push back against RFK JR as the leader of our public health agencies, despite being the worst nominee for any cabinet position ever in the history of the country, then what makes you think they will push back against anything else?

As for publicly telling Trump, seriously? I've heard Senators saying things like, "yes, that's technically a violation of the constitution, but I'm not losing any sleep over it" (I think that was Tillis). They are saying that the judiciary is acting unconstitutionally (Leavitt was merely reciting the current talking points).

3. The courts? You want us to rely on the judiciary? Literally what is happening right now is the Supreme Court's fault. It didn't just grant Trump immunity. It granted him more immunity than he even asked for. They were like, "nah, he's setting his sights too low; here's let's give him some more." I'm not making this up. ACB said as much, even as she rubber-stamped what Trump did ask for.

Maybe the Supreme Court will push back. Maybe. But how can we rely on that? I mean, they literally rolled out the red carpet for Trump to assassinate them if he doesn't like what they are doing. They have been a rubber stamp for Christian nationalism for years. When the facts are against them, they just make up different facts (again, I'm not making this up).

4. So I fail to see the basis for your confidence.

My favorite part was the part about not having another Democrat as president for the rest of your life, lol.

Democrats will have a great chance to win the White House in 2028 if they can drop some of the dumb stuff from their platform and focus on kitchen table issues.
Is Trump illegally creat8ng a third term with his corrupt Supreme Court in his back pocket, that is opposed to ANY ethics standard, one of those kitchen table issues? I am sure it is discussed at the kitchen table in trailer parks, in rural Murica, and among High School dropouts all over the country -- you know, MAGA types.

The 20+ states involved in the lawsuit should be receiving funds. The states not involved in the lawsuit may not be receiving funds.
But they aren't. None of the states are receiving funds. USAID isn't receiving funds. NIH isn't receiving funds. Trump can say whatever, but the fact is they are not receiving funds even though the court ordered for the freeze to stop.

I don't know what you're basing that on. The White House just held a press briefing a couple hours ago and funding wasn't brought up. If it wasn't restored, you'd think that would be a big topic.

All the people who are reporting that their funds are still frozen. I'd imagine some posters here have some insight, as they are direct or indirect recipients of that federal money.

As CarolinaFever posted, you are obtuse to a very annoying degree.

If you go outside and kick rocks, you literally would be so much more useful to society

Apparently it's annoying and obtuse to be asked to support your claims?
