For any good prospect either currently at UNC or committed to UNC, or being recruited by UNC, if any of those players get a decent offer from a P2 school or a good ACC or good Big 12 school, take the offer and run.

Maybe I'm softening on the Belichick hire, but I feel much better about this weekend. I feel like we have a chance. The offense will still be terrible but I think the D can build momentum against bye.

He was a very hot name coming out of Western Michigan and then early on at Minnesota. I think he'd do just as well as anyone here but I don't think fans would have been very excited by the hire.

Agreed, and I was using some specific names as part of a terse response. They're more examples of the types of players that should be here by year 4. I'm not wed to any player in this era: players often don't live up to lofty hype due to grades, injury, development or leaving for greener pastures. I wouldn't be surprised if those specific guys flip tween now and signing day, just cuz nothing is suprising anymore.
But there is a ton of money in our personnel dept. Lombo sounds like a slick car salesman, but there is theoretically an army of scouts fashioned from BB's talks with Nick Saban about Saban's approach. This university recruits itself (even Fed got regarded guys), and with enough NIL and a name like BB and I think recruiting/portaling should go well.

I think this was part of the calculus. An early excuse for hiring BB was that UNC is moving to "big boy" football whether BB wins here or loses badly. The $ and infrastructure is now in place for us to take fball seriously going forward.

By allowing his personal life to become an enormous distraction. By allowing his girlfriend to show up down on the field to talk to him, dressed like she’s headed to the night club, minutes away from kicking off a game. By essentially being the complete antithesis of everything for which he used to stand: no nonsense, no distractions, no personal stuff interfering with football, do your job, keep the main thing the main thing, etc.
What do you think that the Bill Belichick of of the mid-2000’s would think of the Bill Belichick of 2025?

Unfortunately, I don’t think it is quite as simple as this. There are a lot of big money folks to whom UNC had to come begging with hat in hand to pull this off, and many of those same folks are really pissed off right now. The university is also using tens of millions of dollars from the academic side of the university to prop up this whole house of cards on the football side, at the same exact time while faculty and staff are getting laid off, departments are getting cut, and nobody is getting promotions or raises. The money and infrastructure that was created to pull this off is by no means a sure thing guarantee to be there moving forward, especially if this continues it’s currently disastrous path.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t think that UNC will elevate its financial support of the football program moving forward, just that it is not some surefire thing that we are going to emerge from whatever this Belichick era ends up being, being able to throw money at Football like we are Scrooge McDuck.
Distraction to who other than internet meme-creators? Are players or coaches distracted? Your interest in Jordon appears high since you've called her "24 yr old strange" multiple times and you've speculated she's a call-girl with blackmail, but your specific interest doesn't have any impact any the team's roster, execution, scouting, prep, s&c, playcalling, nutrition, etc. Do you think players and coaches are dropping the playbook to read TMZ articles about Jordon.

You seem completely unserious on this topic. She's a distraction for quite literally everyone. Our support staff have to deal with endless requests, questions, rumors, innuendo. She is front and center at highly inopportune times. She dresses entirely inappropriately for the significant other of a head coach. The list of why she is a distraction is endless. Utterly endless. And she feeds it.

I could not care less about Jordan Hudson or her age, aside from the fact that her presence is making UNC football and UNC as a whole a national laughing stock because her boyfriend has apparently completely forgotten how to coach football at coincidentally the same exact time that she became a thing in his life.
And yes, because I spent four years in college with the University of North Carolina football program, and spent every day of my life in the Kenan Football Center and the locker room and on the practice fields, I can tell you without question it is a distraction for the 18 to 22-year-old males on the team. Trust me on that one, as someone who has been there.

Yeah, I’m sorry, but it is completely hard to take seriously an opinion that our head football coach having a girlfriend 50 years his junior who is the same exact age as some or many of our players, who parades herself around the football facilities and the playing field on game day like she owns the place, somehow is not a distraction for the head football coach who is then a distraction for his staff and players.
I get that some people are just going to reflexively defend Bill Belichick until the bitter end because they are desperately hoping that at long last someone, anyone, can get our football program out of pathetic mediocrity, but I’m not cutting anyone any slack who is getting paid $10 million a year, who hires people who run around calling us the NFL 33rd team, who won six Super Bowls in the NFL as a head coach by being a no nonsense, no distractions, ultra organized, ultra prepared militantly focused hardass but has somehow forgotten to be all of those things lately at the same exact time – coincidentally I’m sure! – that he has started dating a 24-year-old attention seeker.
