It probably isn't going to be the fiery sermon you are hoping for. My guess is that he and ABC agreed to basically more or less drop the subject. He's not going to apologize. I would be profoundly disappointed if he did. But I also doubt that he will denounce anything. He will likely make some joke about getting some vacation, and then he went on a bender and he woke up and he was like, "all this fuss about me?" Some sort of tension-defusing funny, and then he'll go back to doing his regular show.
The test will be what he says in two weeks. Will he have enough slack to continue criticizing the administration, or is his show going to go non-political. I have a feeling ABC did not reinstate him only to have his ratings tank, so who knows.
