Doesn't he reportedly care very much about the crew and staff?I think Kimmel has a lot of leverage. He has 21 million YouTube followers and could easily make a great living doing an internet-only show. The future is not broadcast TV. He isn't going to let ABC dictate content decisions.
That's in part because there are no options any more. In the old days, Carson and Leno could do non-political openings by reading obscure headlines about bizarre things that happen somewhere in the world. That moved to social media long ago. So what else can do you on a nightly basis to generate content? The monologues and openings are very political.
Yes, but I can’t see him accepting censorship to save jobs. He could also bring a lot of those people over to an internet show, but there would certainly be a pairing down of cast and crew.Doesn't he reportedly care very much about the crew and staff?
And at their core they are commercial platforms. They exist to promote movies and other things as well as sell commercials between the commercials that are the guests. That's why I have no interest in them. His show, like Colbert, is not overly political. The monologues and openings are very political. Barring a political or news guest, the rest of the show is generally apolitical. They're entertainment shows.
I'll take that bet.I bet he’ll say his initial comment was inappropriate/insensitive.
I googled a list of Nextstar's ABC affiliates last week. From what I recall, New Orleans seemed like the biggest market and most stations were in smaller market deep red state spots.Doubt it. They will continue with their pouty meltdown a little longer. At some point, they will probably start airing it again in certain markets.
Paid them all out of his own pocket during the strikes a couple of years ago.Doesn't he reportedly care very much about the crew and staff?
Care to explain how you made that leap in logic?i guess it was not about the FCC after all
they own a ton of CW networks and MYtv networks, like KTLA in Los Angeles. They actually own 75% of the CW network. (not the affiliates, the company itself)I googled a list of Nextstar's ABC affiliates last week. From what I recall, New Orleans seemed like the biggest market and most stations were in smaller market deep red state spots.
Oh, She mad
I wonder how much they lost.He was off the air for less than a week. I bet those canceled Disney+ subscriptions helped.
I believe he turned more political when trump wanted to cancel Obama care, since he has a child with a pre-existing condition from birth. You have lots of confidence about a situation you don't really know. Didn't he start out as non-political and was that way for many, many years? I thought he only got political with the rise of anti-vaxx, but I could be wrong. Don't watch often. So might he bill it as a return to the roots? I think there are a wide range of options and we don't know which to exclude. I tend to doubt that he would go non-political as it would kill his ratings so what would be the point, but again, many paths remain open.
Oh, She mad
That would be entertaining.Care to explain how you made that leap in logic?
Trump is just ridiculous and concernjng. He actually writes the jokes. His show, like Colbert, is not overly political. The monologues and openings are very political. Barring a political or news guest, the rest of the show is generally apolitical. They're entertainment shows.
Good luck getting the explanation.Care to explain how you made that leap in logic?
It's hard to know what is schtick and what is real with Megyn, as she has tried on so many personalities over the years.Poor Megyn: She was paid by NBC, finalizing her departure with the remaining balance of her three-year, $69 million contract, which amounted to approximately $30 million.
