Maybe Sinclair can evaluate the return of the show and see if the political comedy is a bit more “fair and balanced” for its affiliates’ audience. Can his writers not find anything to poke fun at their side or are Dems beyond reproach?

SNL does it, sure it’s 70/30 poking fun at Rs v Ds, but still….some balance.

The late night shows had Biden jokes, Schumer jokes remain pretty common.

Perhaps our president could stop being such a whiny little pussy.
just sayin GIF

It would be really funny if Kimmel tells a joke blaming the shooting of the ABC Sacramento studio on the MAGA gang when , in reality, it was a retired lefty lobbyist.

Good stuff.

So you guys all acknowledge that Trump is unique, a troll, and makes regrettable comments...why would there not be more jokes about him?

Why do you think he's so sensitive?

His show, like Colbert, is not overly political. The monologues and openings are very political. Barring a political or news guest, the rest of the show is generally apolitical. They're entertainment shows.
Yes, but from reading recent articles Trump was apparently pissed over some comments Kimmel made about him while hosting the Oscars the past couple of years and has had his sights set on him ever since. We all know that Trump is nothing if not incredibly petty and vindictive. I'm sure that he is not happy with this news and he and his FCC attack dog will continue to look for ways to get him off the air.

The Klieg company went out of business decades ago. On a related note, decades ago was also when Megyn Kelly was relevant.
The fall from grace at Fox is a hard one. Like so many others, she went from being a media superstar and influential figure at Fox to her current irrelevant and "who cares?" status. In her case it's just led to obvious bitterness and resentment (a staple of Trumpers), in some cases like Tucker Carlson it's led to actual insanity, as he's publicly discussed being attacked by demons and ghosts (Jon Stewart?) at night.

Trump had plenty of reason to dislike Kimmel based on his monologues. Any one who tells the truth about that turd, humorously or not, is Benedict Donald's "enemy".

This is all a fracture that can deepen if it gets played right. Maybe another revolt against Paramount gets Colbert life again. Or some other issue that involves public outcry. There are so many avenues available here. Pick the right ones and shake the fascist bitches' foundation.
