Would you agree they need to be transparent and show receipts? They haven’t done so as yet and all their wild claims are getting debunked by the minute. But because it’s your team you’re pretty unconcerned, eh?
 
To all those who keep saying that Trump 2.0 and his buddy Elon aren't going to touch Social Security, this is nothing more than Elon's opening salvo to make a major change in Social Security. It's coming, no matter how many Trumpers keep their head in the sand and pretend it's not going to happen. Our new billionaire overlords can't get the tax cuts they want without doing something to cut Social Security.

I don’t see how that’s even remotely possible. When my parents died, the funeral home sent notice to SS that they had passed. As a matter of fact, SS took back the payments they received for the month they died. Unless you’ve got hundreds of dishonest funeral homes, there is no way this is possible. A final note. A family member works at the funeral home that handled their funerals.

It really is telling that even though Trumpers firmly control every branch of the federal government and there's not a damn thing that Democrats can do about it, that right-wing outlets like Fox News still whine and complain 24/7 that the Democrats are opposing and trying to block Trump (and Elon and Project 2025's) agenda. They all desperately need to believe that they are still the heroic underdogs taking on the all-powerful Deep State and evil LibDems. The fact that they are now the "Deep State" (whatever that means) and that they are clearly able to do whatever the hell they want and Democrats can't stop them doesn't matter. They still need that Democratic bogeyman/strawman to be outraged by and complain about. If Democrats vanished they still wouldn't be happy, they'd just turn on one another like a pack of dogs. Having something and someone to constantly attack and point fingers at is second nature to them.

That’s bullshit. No fucking way that’s possible. I’m not saying there’s not some fraud, but even you can’t believe what you typed. I a sure you, as someone who has recently dealt with having my parents’ SS payments stopped after they died, that what you typed is total and fucking utter bullshit. You are just swallowing hook line and sinker some of those two POS lies they are trying to use to destroy our country. If you can’t see that then I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.
 
The funny thing is that this claim is provably false. It's not as if we have to allow for some slight possibility that Elon is correct. We know how many people were born every year, and roughly how many people died (and their ages). We know immigration numbers. We know how many payees there are. You can't compute the number of payees exactly with those methods, but you can prove that it can't possibly be anywhere near that many. There just aren't enough people to have died.

And too, it would take hundreds (if not thousands) of corrupt funeral homes to carry such a fraud out. Funeral homes are required to inform SS when a person dies. They then stop payments to that person. My mother died October 30, 2022 and SS took back her October payment. I thought that was harsh, but those are the rules. My father died January 17, 2023 and the same thing happened. Anyone who claims millions of dead people are receiving SS payments doesn’t know what the fuck they are talking about.

You would give him a shot no matter how outlandish his claim. So 1 in 6 SS recipients are 120+ years in age yet no one noticed such a high percentage until dogeshit showed up. Hmmmm. Does he have a company ready to step in and fix things?

Same here, when my dad died the funeral home notified the SS admin.
 
MMW, they will tie it to people on SSDI (disability) who are eligible for Medicare after 24 months of disability. There are a bit more than 7m people on SSDI. Kicking them off disability knocks off both the disability payment and the Medicare costs.

My father donated his whole body to research, so no funeral home involvement. When we notified SSA within a day or two of his death, they already knew.
